if you were buying something what would hit you first, the price or what it looks like?

mine would be what it looks like

oooh! complex question! lol For me, its bit of both. I used to be a compulsive buyer just because they're cheap so i end up myself wearing crappy clothes sometimes. What i do know though is look for something then check there price. If i can't afford it, then i'll probably look somnething that's pretty much like it but on a cheaper price!:D ...budget of a college student!

Looks definitely come first. If it looks good, I check the price. If it's too high, I save up or wait until it's on sale (usually both). And I've learned to never buy something just because the price is low. I almost always regret it.

^ true. I generally check the quality/looks/materials first & then weigh it against the price. It's the combination of two that determine it for me in the end. It's all about a "good value":lol:

Alex - excellent point about low prices. I "learned" that lesson time and time again! But, true, it's never a good deal if you NEVER use it.

Looks definitely. If I don't love it, I won't use it. Then no matter how much (or little) I pay for it, it will be a waste of money.

I go by quality and design first, then price. If it's too expensive, I don't buy it. I say that if I would have to save for it, it's out of my price-range. I try to stay realistic.

I recently found fantastic basic cotton longsleeved t-shirts/undershirts at H&M for 11 €. I was tempted to buy at least 10, 'cause they seemed to be good quality, but I only bought two so I could check what happens when you wear and wash them. They hold up beautifully! I'm very sceptic about H&Ms quality in general, but you can find amazingly good quality if you have an eye for it!
