pretty good, no-one is missing alistair!

According to style.com, this was his last collection for Pringle :flower:

This is such a strong collection.. I hope they know what they're doing letting go of Alistair because IMO he was creating something interesting over there.

this is quite amazing, although the headwear is so Balenciaga. Those jackets and shoes are

very nice indeed. the shoes are wonderful, and the styling is spot on.

Beautiful collection, but I agree with TREVOFASHIONISTO, every look screams Balenciaga or Céline.

I love it. I think it can be one of my favs from resort collections.
Everything works really well. The prints, the colours, the shapes. Generally, it may not be very revealing, but then resort collections hardly ever are.

The jackets are to die for .

I really don't think it does; What feels like the mildest Balenciaga influence in the clothing (through the exquisite ultra-clean jackets and model poses directly from the S/S 09 campaign) was just emphasized by the stupid decision of putting those visor-like hats on the models.
The Celine vibe is coming from the first beautiful slouchy-blouse looks (which are pretty late, if they are inspired by Celine).

As I said, the jackets are exquisite, and I am in love with the three-piece twin-set idea; a twin-set and pearls with the pearls dispersed over the garments.
Beautiful and unusual seperates, it's a shame we couldn't see more of what Carr had to offer.

it's such a shame that Carr's experimental streak didn't bide well with Pringle execs, perhaps they deemed him too innovative to uphold the company's woolly heritage; too bad since i was already getting used to his vision, that of a less addled, well balanced Balenciaga  however, this serves well as his last collection, in spite of the graphic pieces there runs an easy, relaxed feeling to the ensembles, perfect for Resort

ohh what a shame  he will be missed.

yeah I don't agree with the whole collection referencing Celine or Balenciaga except those hats, I think this collection stands well on its own. But, I don't see Pringle of Scotland at all. Maybe if he gets enough financial backing I would love to see him with his own namesake line

I liked seeing more knits from this line; even though there are some nice pieces in this collection, imo it feels too much like other lines already out there. And I don't like the shoes.

This collection is in my top 3 for Resort 2013. I love the structure of the pieces, the mix of prints, the mix of colours. The footwear is also quite interesting.

I've really loved his work for Pringle. That's too bad he's leaving :(

i can imagine myself wearing most of these. Modern and clean. Love it!

I still see a lot of Balenciaga, the shoes, the hat, the shapes:huh:

One should not forget that McCarr actually used to work for Balenciaga (in a high position i think) so he was actually part of the whole thing we see as this aesthetic now.

I've always had a problem with heavy shoes, but actually here they don't ruin the silhouette that much. Talking about the silhouette, I love the whole sports feeling. There's also something very urban and dynamic through the prints and structures of the clothes. The jackets and coats are TDF and I love how they shape the body but remain flattering. It's very pleasing to the eye. I also love the effect of those plastic capeline shadow, editors must be impatient to use them.
