These Guess? ads were considerd quite provocative when they came out in 1996, because Lonneke Engel was only 15 (or 16?) at the time, this was "lolita-style" on it's height, and it looked like the guy was her pimp and they were on drugs. Shot by Ellen von Unwerth:

Provocative? Not really. But why would think the guy looks like her pimp and using drugs?

Because of the way he's dressed? That hat and the thick gold chain...?

Also her fur coat thing is very prostituty.

LOL, I swear, people reach waaay too hard when it comes to these ads. I don't see how half of them are in any way provacative or offensive.

Exactly
And I didn't say it was my opinion, I'm just saying I remember them being considerd quite provovative for those reasons.

I know its kinda late, but the fake PUMA ad is definately my favorite of this whole thread. I would have loved it if it were real. Oh wow.

Which one was that?

Good one posting the Brooke Shields/Calvin ad. One of the most 'controversial' ads of it's time. How times have changed....
