Puff Sleeves

didn't this trend come and go a couple of years ago...is it back already?...i keep seeing it again...weird...

i have very narrow shoulders so the puff usually just flops and looks silly on me...not good for people with narrow shoulders... :ermm:

The thing I like best about puffed sleeves is that I have wide shoulders and fairly muscular arms to start with, and that bit of extra space spells comfort for me. I'm not a big girl overall, and so a top with extra space in the shoulder/upper arm area is a bonus. I can buy the size that fits my torso without it pinching my arms or restricting my movement by not being wide enough through the shoulders.

The aesthetics of it I don't really like, however. I feel awfully cheezy in puffed sleeves...too little-girly for me, but I will wear them if I like the rest of the garment well enough.

That's the sort of sleeves my next winter coat will have. The whole thing is in the style of a circa 1909 duster coat, with leg-o-mutton sleeves, velvet trim and passamenterie/soutache braid detailing.

Different styles of puffy sleeves worn by Maggie Gyllenhaal and i think they all look kinda nice..

new trend or not, those are too hot right now, love them

puff in general is very "directive" and is absolutely continuing for ss05
