Ok, so I have been using Clinique super balanced, because my friend used it and it works wonders on her. But for me thats another story... I have pretty oily skin and it pretty much is gone within 2 hours. So i need somthing Heavy but not cakey... and somthing that has a range of skin tones because This olive beige skin is alittle hard to match... lol thanks... :D

If you're looking for a liquid foundation, I would recommend Paula Dorf's oil free foundation. I have really oily skin and it works great :flower:

I like chanel's foundastions, but I love lancomé's adaptive foundation, it great to mix with a liquid luminizer for more glow

My face - before and after CoverFX Cream Foundation

This is a repeat post from the 'Dark Shadows under Eyes thread'

OK so in the name of 'science'

1) i'm displaying my bare :yuk: face to show you my shadows
(which that day wasn't too bad at all)
..... no one ever sees me w/out makeup....
just you lucky bugs .. ha-ha.

and then

2) my face with Cover FX only... no other makeup... no powder either.
i applied a sheer layer over my entire face,
then 2 more layers under my eyes.

Caveat: i used my fingertips (not my brush)
and didn't blend as well as i normally do.

Honestly - i couldn't live w/out this product.. NOTHING matches my skin & covers up the shadows.

Let the gawking and horrified shrieking begin.

yeah foundation plays a big part on our face, however im afrdaid it might clog my pores too much or anyuthing bad, cause im only 14 and i started usign foudnation since i was 13.... ahahha does any of you think i should continue using foundation =S

oh honey - if you have pretty even-toned skin you don't need foundation at your age.
i used to have perfect-toned and clear skin, and just wore tinted moisturizer until i was 22 or so.
let the luminosity of your youth shine through.

I certainly do. It has this luminous coverage which you can layer on without it looking caked or uneven at all. It's so moisturizing and dewy but oil-free, it seriously protects and has really improved my natural skin. I use the creme formula, and my face is moist all day even in the harsh winter outdoors.

i am still young and i have pretty good skin, it's just that my face is usually oily around the tzone and is prone to breakouts if anything bad is put on it so i bought lorac oilfree foundation just for special events. i dont wear this that much, but when i did it worked fine just to make my skin look more even and just basically better looking/glowier. i also just bought bobbi brown tinted moisturizer that i could wear during the day if i felt like it,and i have worn it a few times and it works pretty well for me. i wouldnt reccomend either of these if you want a full coverage, though.

I use Chanel Vitalumiere as well. I really love it. I have pretty decent skin and fair coloring. Most foundations tend to make my face you dull, ghostly, and dry. I really like Vitalumiere because it gives that glowy look and looks really light, not heavy. I def. suggest it as an everyday foundation, if you use one. ;)

Foundation for Pale/Light Skin?

I have tried almost every drugstore brand in search of a liquid foundation that doesn't make me look orange or grey. The problem with my skin is that it is beyond pale (i'm part Dutch:shock:) and all you can see is freckles and the veins under my skin:( . My latest foundation has been clinique, and even the lightest colour looks ridiculous on me. I'm considering investing in more expensive foundation, but I don't want to waste anymore money than I have to in my neverending search for the perfect foundation. I have heard that Chanel has foundation in light shades, but other than that no one seems to have any suggestions for me! Anyone feel like helping me out? Besides needing a very very very pale colour, I like liquids and prefer medium to full coverage, and a semi-matte finish. Brands and/or products to try would be so helpful girlies! Muchas Gracias.

I also have very pale skin with freckles. I thought Balanced Foundation in Mont Blanc from Nars was very good. Other foundations that I haven't tried but that I have seen have foundation for very pale skin is Bobbi Brown and FACE Stockholm. I hope you find a good foundation for you!

gruveechik that foundation looks lovely on you. I'm now seriously lemming the CoverFX, if only it was available in Australia.

I've been wondering for a long time, so I thought I'd post it.
I love the foundation these girls use, but I can't seem to figure out wether it's loose powder, pressed powder or matte liquid foundation + pressed foundation ?
It doesn't look shiney and it doesn't look chalky, which is what I like about it.
Confused...

Has anyone heard anything about Lancome TRANSPARENCE - BASE DE TEINT ?

It looks pink-ish but says it's porcelain complexion...

Which Chanel Foundation?

Hey chicas! I narrowed down my next foundation to one of the following three (all Chanel)

1. Chanel Teint Natural Liquid Makeup SPF 8
2. Chanel Vitalumiere Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup SPF 15
3. Chanel Vitalumiere Satin Smoothing Creme Makeup SPF 15

Has anybody here tried any of the three? If you have, what did you like/not like about it and would you recommend it for me? Thanks.;) :D :p

hmm well i haven't tried any of those before, but i would say it depends on your skin type. if you have oily skin, i would go for the cream one. I have oily skin and i use the double perfection matte finish and it works beautifully, but that's not up there.

since they are all pretty expensive i think it would be best for you to go to sephora or another department store and try each of them, but if that's not an option, you can check out the reviews on makeupalley.com
