In case you're wondering after they tally white, Latina, Asian, and black what the 'other races' are , they mean other ethnicities--Native American and 'Moroccan.'

There's a sarcastic saying I have among fashionista friends, "White is right in the fashion industry" Sometimes I wonder if certain designers have a 'hood" in their closet. Just my opinion folks!

^ The good thing about where we are right now is the KKK is no longer like the Elks or something in the community ... there was a time of course when it was a majority organization in some places.

The bad thing about where we are right now is that a lot of people think that if they don't have a hood in their closets, everything's OK. Those are the worst of the racists, but certainly not the only ones ...

Sometimes it requires a bit of stretching to reach out and do the right thing. I suspect that some designers may take their 'artistic visions' a bit too seriously ... maybe it's not an artistic vision, maybe it's what you see in the mirror every day--or wish you did Why can they not see that there's nothing original or artistic about hiring pale skeletal lookalikes

You're correct about that...most racists don't own a hood.

Just to vent on another issue - I'm so sick of how less than mediocre Caucasian model pictures are immediately recognized and praised on posts, most people know their names and date of birth, etc... yet, if you post a pic of a black model (or generally a model of color) with great potential, nobody can tell you the name of the model nor care to know more about them...

They look really powerful to me ... their deeper skin color seems to give them more presence and drama.
