Radiohead

Mary-Anne, thank you for sharing... that sounds beautiful
Nude is definitely my favorite from In Rainbows.

^ how was it for you, cutx? do tell some more! :woot:
so nice to read reviews, loved yours mary-anne .. it's good to know they're still generating such an emotional response in their gigs.. I'm seeing them in less than two weeks and.. maybe it's been long enough since I bought the tickets or maybe it's because I don't play them as much as I used to but I'm not so excited anymore, I actually didnt feel like going and just like handing the tickets to whoever wanted them but reading the reviews just makes me believe it'll be a huge mistake if I do that.. I remember seeing them in 2003 and 2004.. the 2003 show in particular was sooo intense.. I was unable to wipe off the silly smile on my face for like 3 days and cutx, I did cry , not sob or anything! but lucky and talk show host were just pure delirium.. beyond dreamy for me ..

No, don't sell your tickets! The show will be so amazing, I promise :flower:

It was a incredibly surreal experience, seeing Radiohead live. The show I went to was completely sold out with 25,000+ people in the audience, yet the vibe felt so intimate and relaxed... everyone just kinda got lost in the sound together  It was like we were in a Radiohead trance  The light show is stunning and really enhanced the quality of the show for me... like when they played the gloaming and sang the line about raining, the made the lights look like raindrops. And then they played nude, it looked like stars were falling... The band played so perfectly and hearing Thom's voice live is just killer  When they played Karma Police, I almost cried.

If you do go, get a t-shirt. They're eco-friendly, made of organic cotton and strangely, plastic (i had no idea you could make a shirt out of that!), but they're sooooo soft and have lyrics from the new album written on them. I got the one with lyrics from house of cards: no matter where it ends, no matter where it starts.....

Some videos from my show:

Karma Police

House of Cards

Paranoid Andrioid

Nude

Exit Music (For a Film)

Faust Arp

hands down, best concert of my life.

so what are other people's of experiences of seeing radiohead live been? :flower:

cutxpaste, I wish I could see the videos! Your experience sounds amazing.. they're definitely on my top 5 list of bands I want to see live.

Cutx, I can't see your videos either but judging from the review, it sounds like it was pretty awesome .. I am going to the show by the way.. only five days away!!!. :zorro::heart:
wonder what should I wear... or what should I avoid wearing.. :innocent:

shot, the videos dont show up...
well just youtube search "radiohead mansfield" and they'll be there.

I saw them at Outside Lands yesterday. They were so so amazing:buzz::heart:

The plug came out twice, but Thom was really good about it.^_^

I saw them about 2 years ago at a show in San Diego, it was at a very small venue and i'm guessing there were between 1-2 thousand people i guess, but it was a beautiful show, I was right on the edge, squished by the masses of people, holding on to the gate thing for dear life. I was so close I could see Jonny's sweat dripping from his forehead. This coming monday i'll be seeing them at the Hollywood Bowl and then again in San Diego on wednesday. I'll let you guys know all the details!! (I am so so excited!!)

By the way, for those of you that have already seen them on their new tour, do they play many old songs? If so, which ones?

did you see them at the bay, casanova??, you're too lucky.. I didn't manage to get tickets for that show (browse 20 or so pages back to re-live the frustration :rolleyes:).

ateaseweb used to have this feature where you could click on past tour dates and the set list and reviews would come out, looks like they're not doing that this time around, what a pity, I always like to know what they're up to so I know what to expect more or less. but then, I also like not knowing what to expect, or hearing new stuff and suddenly something like 'my iron lung' breaks in. :zorro:

I've been wondering how's the security for massive shows like these lately?, I usually get my way with the camera at small venues but I remember having to walk all the way back to the parking lot just to leave my camera. and it's such a drag.. :ermm:

mullet, go to 58hours.com, they do the same kind of thing as ateaseweb

Yes I went to the show at the bay!!:heart: It was so beautiful, the sun setting and everything, and the music playing...and I did get my camera in to that show, when you take a semi-big bag they don't really make a big deal about searching through...and I imagine at a big show they're not going to take their time searching every nick and cranny! But yeah, it's always a risk having to trudge back and leave your camera in the car...

Mulletproof, did you end up getting tickets for this Wednesday's show?

Oh Yes... My Iron lung... so awesome! :D
I wish I could see them again soon!!

^^:woot: Have a great time!!

cutx, I think it's fair to say Karma Police was the highlight of the show. song wise. for me too. I'm listening now and thinking back... *sigh*

i would have really loved if they had played 2+2=5 or high & dry though

^2+2=5 was out of this world when I heard it live for the first time.. pretty surreal .. I've got the bootleg laying around here, might put it up for everyone to enjoy later on!.

casaanova, YES, I kept my tickets for wednesday!. what kind of tickets do you got?, I'm somewhere in the middle, not happy about that.. reaching pit is like reaching the stars these days, dammit. I'm just happy to go.

masquerade, have fun tonight!.. take some picsss!.
