i agree with the porter assessment that it feels like a continuation of that collage concept of his sterling ruby collab last season. and the imagery is so moving and very personal and i simply adore that. those re-created 'hokusai' paintings are divine. that intricate beading is something i've actually never experienced in a simons collection,likely a influence from his work at dior....and somehow he made it work so beautifully in this men's arena without looking precious or gaudy. i love the idea of the sailor flaps.....it seems to bring the personal exploration of the collection together,providing that canvas for the imagery but it works as well with the pieces.
