thanks for your comment! ok, i will be going to the store next week to try them on again and make the decision which ones look better. i know i'm going to have a hard time deciding because i totally love the 54mm ones but they leave room for my eye to look beside the glasses out of my left and right eye corner.

which is what i did see happening to people like robert pattinson, though, when pictured from the side, his face is pretty small as well, like mine is. does this happen to anyone else with wayfarers as well, maybe it's just the model?

^^Wayfarers (from what I've read) are supposed to have that "tilt" if they're worn right. It's sort of their signature look.

^^I don't, but I know they're more east-west than the traditional wayfarers in the XL size. Longer side to side and shorter top to bottom. Sorry not much help.

^^I believe you have the "50's" which is the traditional sized wayfarers. They come in 47, 50, and 54.

I'm reading that they are usually "small". So I wanted to be sure, they aren't too bad on me but I don't have the 54s to compare it to.

^^I posted some photos comparing size on the previous page. The 50's were too small for me (I have a gigantic head LOL) - so the 54's worked better for me. They don't look "big" just better size for my face. The 47's are tiny - almost like child sized lenses!

^^The "new" wayfarers are smaller top to bottom - and longer side to side, more east-west then the traditional wayfarers. They're also smaller. A 54 reg. wayfarer is larger than a 54 "new wayfarer".

^^I happened by the Ray-Ban stand at Bloomindales this weekend and was able to see and try on the new wayfarers vs. the traditional. The new wayfarers are REALLY rectangle'ish - even smaller than the traditional frame, which is also small, but more of a square. If you were looking for big I'd stick with the 2140's in the 54 size. HTH.

Do people continue to wear them in the winter? I wear mine year round but usually feel sort of weird about it... like sunglasses clash with snow...

Yes, but only when it's sunny. They're great for avoiding snow blindness...

Thanks Beauxgoris- I've been into Sunglass Hut tons of times-always to try the clubmasters on. One reason I have put off buying them for so long is I really cannot make up my mind on which color I should get!

Black is incredibly hot and will never go out of style/can be worn with anything but I'm not sure I like the gold rim around the lenses

The olive/green is pretty unique but may not go with many outfits

The blue actually looks the best on me but if sunglasses could talk these would be SCREAMING

I still love the wayfarers and plan to wear them even when I'm much older I'm pretty sure the clubmaster came before the wayfarer but wayfarers seem more classic to me.
