Hello all,
I just came to own two gorgeous bags my mother used to own in the 70's but they need some work done to them. I have a leather burgundy bag that whose paint is fading on one corner of it and another snakeskin duffle that needs to have the bottom reinforced... do these sound like realistic repairs and where would one go to get this kind of work done?

If you can find a decent match of color.. use a crayon to fix the paint on the bag.. it won't look perfect.. but it will look better... as for the bottom... I dunno if you can really fix this without ripping the bag apart.

There is a handbag restoration class that is being added to FIT's accessories curriculum.. too bad I couldn't take it.

Hm. I forgot to mention you'll need a nearby candle or lighter to actually melt the wax... just don't go coloring on your bag. ;)

Thanks Luna I'll try that. I'm glad I didn't get around to it yet 'cuz I was about to take a crayon to it!
