So I received mine today but I am SOoooooooooooo confused on how they styled it like they did with the dark green one (mine is the black)..I guess I just have to keep playing around with it....

but the material is AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZING. and warm! I wanna sleep with it.

i'm sure it will look great worn any way baldy :flower:

the quality and texture of fabrics are often lost in photos, its always a nice suprise when you actually handle something so beautiful. i can imagine what its like!

ps - you could always try the 'This End Up - How to Wear Avant Garde Designs' thread (link below) for help regarding the wrap technique.

http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/f58/end-up-how-wear-avant-garde-designs-60375.html

i'm sure just playing with it will lead you to your own unique ways of wearing it...half the fun really! ^_^

what do you guy think of this RO jacket?

(style.com)
saw it at barneys today.. marked down to $900s
the leather and shearling seems to be really popular..but i love this
its two sizes too big for me.. but i actually quite like how the sleeves are fitting and the body kind of 'droopy'.. :flower:

I don't know how it connects and closes but if it's really too big for you I wouldn't suggest getting it. My RO cardi is too big for me and I don't wear it as often because it never stays on my shoulders and always is slipping off which is really annoying.

does anyone have any runway (or other) pics of these knee patch legging trousers? I would like to see them from other angles... or if anyone knows how they fit, could you give me some input?

also, are the knee patches in leather? this is what lvr says: 95%MD5%WS
thanks for any help...

one more question.... don't hate me for it pls:blush:
how does the kate moss for topshop assimetrical jacket compare to RO's jackets? I heard the one she did was modelled after a rick owens jacket she owns. I obviously don't expect it to be up to RO standards but how is it for its price point (around 250euros)?

Jungla sorry I cant help much but the leggings are 95% modal cotton and 5% cashmere.

i like the leggings and the kate moss jacket. I have one of their other leather jackets and it has held up really well actually. I find the quality pretty good to be honest.

Well I agree, the KM jacket quality is just amazing,it's the type of jacket everyone comments, but only the jackets of the first collection. The jackets of the winter collection although they are being sold as the same are not. The quality is not so good, the leather is different.

hmm.. didnt buy the jacket.. its cropped at the back and ends up hanging too far from my body.. :(
in san francisco, so checking out barneys here and whoever else stocks RO

i didnt really like that kate moss jacket.. the treatment of the material just looked like it was wrinkled from not being looked after properly or had been sat on for hours.. :s
the fit was good for me though!

its a great jacket i bought it the other day, its soooooo warm even though its cropped at the back, i really like the mohair:flower:

so I tried on the kate moss jacket at Barneys SF and I didn't like the fit AT ALL...the armholes were too big and the cut was just off. the leather was nice though.
Does anyone have jackets from the fw05 collection? I am looking at this one but I'm not sure how the fit is IRL... and if it is too dramatic (with the tails in the back)

(I'm interested in the dark grey color)

I love the jacket, especially the sides.

Sometimes I wish his menswear jackets were as inventive as the womenswear.

pomegranates- i just saw that jacket today in a foresty green colour. It was gorgeous.
jungla- gorgeous (i personally prefer tighter arms because otherwise i kinda look bulky ..but that's me)

I pick up my jacket next week. woot
looks like this but in a different colour (greyish brownish mix)

^ that is one nice jacket!!

you must post pictures!

exciting... :bounce:

justlooking, I love that jacket. I wanted it for so long but I need to save up for it in order to be able to afford it. Where did you get it?

I am planning to use it as a winter jacket... I really really hope it's warm. It's made out of wool, just hope it's thick enough to keep me toasty.

JJ- I can probably tell you it's not too too warm. Most of Rick's items are meant to be layered but I'm sure you'll be happy with it!
