^^ Inaya is right. The quality of RO Lilies is delicate. The cuts are amazing, but the fabrics are not quite as nice as RO's Main Line (i.e. instead of using silks or leather, Lilies use knits). But the prices are better... so that's the trade off

Hi everyone! I'm new here
I would like to ask if anyone can compare RO's leather in FW season vs. S/S season? Is the f/w leather significantly thicker? I'm considering the classic leather jacket this season but I wonder if I should hold off until F/w, and if the leather this season is worth the investment? Alternatively I could wait for one to show up on ebay, but I just missed TWO in my size a few weeks ago, not sure what my chances are now...

Any inputs would be greatly appreciately! Thanks!

^^ hi traumerel and welcome!! in the winter collections there are some which are thicker but I think it largely depends on the piece itself as he uses multiple different types of leather in each collection. do you have a pic of one/some that you have in mind?

OH NO! more and more people seem to have issues with browns customer service
have you also tried luisaviaroma? i think they have them in black?

Browns website is never up to date, these problems are extremely common.

traumerei - welcome I have seen some 09 jackets IRL, and the leather has been fabulous! I believe previous s/s jackets were not fully lined (only f/w), but all the jackets I have seen have been fully lined. They are a little lighter, as Inaya notes, but I've noticed this depends on the style. I tried on a pieced leather jacket that was very lightweight, but another s/s jacket I tried on was heavier than my f/w jacket....

Do you have any stores near you that sell RO? If so, your best bet might be to go try one on and see how you like the leather. Seeing the jackets in person really helped me when I bought mine.... that and lovely tFsers

Oh - and they are most certainly worth every dollar

Thank you Mona, that's very helpful information. I have tried on the grey one at Barney's - they didn't have the black in stock, and was a size larger than I would have preferred - it was fantastic, no less! I am not aware of any store here that carries the exact size and color, so I'm completely relying on the photos that sales associates send me via emails.

I am THIS CLOSE to pulling the trigger now! However, it seemed to have gone for a bit less on ebay these days, I wonder if I should hold off...but I'm not sure how often small sizes pops up. Ack I hate being indecisive

^^ have you tried the RO boutique in NYC? I know they did have the funnel neck in black, but they might be sold out (it's such a popular style).

i emailed them yesterday about the funnel neck jackets, they have both the washed lamb and silky lamb in stock still in black and i m sure they have the washed lamb in grey in stock as well. i would definitely give them a call as mona suggested, they could probably ship one out to you

thanksss <3 the strap is leather with a small bit of elastic on the back of it. and the embroidered fabric feels like a very lightweight type of silk
