Hey guys, if you're interested, there's a rick owens womens shearling in a size small at Barneys New York outlet in San Marcos, Texas for 600 dollars + and additional 25% off. It's assymetrically cut, has a fairly long swooshing back "tail" and is meant to be worn as a wrap around with velcro on the chest. google their address and give them a call if you want it! Its marked down from 3250.

has anyone ordered a ro leather jacket from luisa via roma? just wondering what your experience was like with the customs/duties/and the general quality of service? i ordered a biker jacket-- even though i live in ny getting ahold of one in my size is like winning the lottery!

oh here's the jacket, pic emailed to me by a buyer

Its hard to tell from the pic but I think I have that one and I love it. Customs are a little bit high but luisaviaroma ships right away and you get it in about 2 days. They are all very nice, eager to help and have great customer service.

I sent my RO jacket back to them, I tracked it and they attempted delivery 4 times. Not sure whats going to happen now, I hope it doesnt get shipped back to me since shipping is so pricey to italy!! It's a little nervewracking

guessgirl how is the sizing-- i've tried ro on and it's tiny-- generally i'd be a 40 in any normal brand but i ordered a 42. because of the hellish distance and hassle of italy as you described, i am worried!

(did you get two from lvr + are shipping one back?)

MarcJ-- Rick Owens does a varriation on that jacket often. I know that Barney's had it from the begining of Spring, and that he did it again for Fall (jeffrey just had one). Usually the leather is a little thicker for F/W, and he might change the buttons or something. Either way, with his classic cuts, you can not go wrong on sale, as just a month latter they'll have re-shipped at full price.

He's doing the same style again for S/S 08, in what I believe is cotton.

how is the sizing on the jackets?
i have some tanks and longsleeves from RO, can i expect to use the same size in the leather jackets?

I'm pretty sure it's the same for women as for men, in terms of fit, so I would say go one size up. The leathers always run really small.

^I think it depends on the jacket. I have tried on smalls in the past that were too big, and I have also tried on mediums that fit pretty well. The RO leather I have is a small, and it fits very slimly, but its not AS slim as some other smalls I've tried. I generally wear a small in every other designer (quite frankly, some smalls are still way too big on me). I would suggest that anyone whose considering a RO leather jacket try it on.

Yea it does depend on the style. MJ, that leather you have is one of the more roomier leathers from my experience.
For reference, I usually wear a medium or Large but I purchased an XL in one of his leather jackets. The measurements are 17" in the shoulder and 19" in the chest. These kinds of measurements usually equate to a medium or smaller large.
But I would agree, it's always better to try it on first. Or just make sure you can return the jacket if it doesn't fit right.

I am usually a 38 but 38 was sold out so I went with a 40. Although I think 38 would have been better 40 works too. I think these run just a tiny bit small. I got this last winter and just got another one about a month ag thats going back.

thanks peeps! :flower:

i will try it on, of course.. the leather jackets is due to arrive in oslo in august/september! :shifty:

anyone know if any mens leather jackets arrived at Barneys, atelier, etc.. or are the jackets on luisaviaroma.com available at any stores? would love to get my hands on that fitted washed leather jacket. anyone know why this jacket costs the most but seems to be the most plain?
