MJ- For men, you pretty much can't find one of his leathers for under $2000 at retail. Over in Europe though, that's another story. LVR had pretty much every leather jacket under $2000 except for the shearlings. (only thing is, you get charged customs tax and a hefty shipping fee, otherwise it might be worth it)

No worries Drivers- I'm trying to figure out what they have so I know what to hold out for for sale time! :D

I picked up a leather at the beginning of January for $860! I'm hoping I can have such luck again.

Hey, I have a question about RO sizing in women's wear.
I am usually a UK size 10 though sometimes I think I'm more a small size 10 depending on where I shop. I've seen a top but it's only available in size 12 (or a 44) and so I'm wondering if RO runs smallish?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I think you need to give a bit more description on what the piece is. His sizing can be all over the place but I would say in general, it runs small.
Is this for a jacket, shirt, knit, etc?

Net-a-porter's cool because they give you measurements. I would go off those a bit but a top like that is going to run on the slimmer side. :)

Casius--- The one below was priced at $1950 at Barney's last s/s. I have also seen the ones with the kind hook and eye closure at the collar for that price as well. But, this is basically financial semantics. I have always wondered why the men's seem to go dramatically higher in price, especially considering that the women's have so much more detail and cutting.

Has anyone seen the below one at Atelier or Barney's in any color yet?
Thanks!

^ yes if anyone has seen that one in a medium or small, i would be very interested!! :)

The leather jackets haven't arrived anywhere yet, I think they're in the last shipment. I don't think Atelier picked up that color but maybe count on Barneys, Maxfields, or maybe even Jeffrey to have it.
He comes out with that style every season.

casius, what where the knits you saw at atelier the last time you were there? if any. I'm looking into one specifically, but pretty much all of Owens' knits this season are ace! And you usually hold out for sales? Your size musn't be a popular one..

Last time I was there they had the black v-neck sweater and short button-less cardigan in dust and black I believe (dust for sure). Both are fantastic but I really love the cardigan!

Also, I buy what pieces I want at retail but mostly wait till sales because I've always had good luck. Just takes some searching. :)
I'm a large/medium though.

Does anyone know if RO makes men's jackets with knitted insets in the sleeves like his women's jackets? I'm positive that I saw a guy wearing one in dust in London a few years ago, and it really didn't look like a women's jacket. I could be totally imagining it though.....

And if anyone's interested, oki-ni has this jacket marked down to £388, which is, um, really nice. Only xsmall and medium left.

He does not (or at least has not the last few years that I have been paying attention). I really would like one as well, I don't know why he decided that it was for women only, otherwise they are all pretty androgynous. You could probably get away with some of the women's jackets though, its something I always contemplate.

Yes, he did do a leather with knit inserts going down the sleeve and in the shoulder.

I've been waiting for him to do the biker jacket with the high collar for men for years...I was was so tempted to buy the womens version, but I know it'll way too short on the body...boo...Rick, make a male version of that jacket already!!!

Net-a-porter's cool because they give you measurements. I would go off those a bit but a top like that is going to run on the slimmer side. :)
wow I'm so stupid. I completely didn't look at those measurements on the netaporter page! Thanks for your help.

I would kill for a simple shearling jacket in black. NAP had one that was almost perfect but it was in this dust colour. Hoping for one next winter. I did not like the catwalk one's IRL way too much.

Casisus the jacket you posted is so damn sexy.

Casius, the jacket is beautiful! What season is it from?

Pucci, I am also hungry for a Rick shearling. I did not like the men's ones this f/w at all, but I am constantly on the hunt for a good one.

Thanks! :flower:

Any word on stateside stores that will be having it?

Also in general, does the RO store in Paris cary a pretty full selection of his leather jackets?

cas- i love that jacket!!

Does anyone have any experience ordering from the RO store in Paris from the US?? I'm going to call them tomorrow about that jacket
