100% agree. Her "transformation" began when Lady Gaga wasn't even on anyone's radar. She definitely developed her own style over the years. It was a gradual process and not like she decided that she was gonna be this or that over night.

Not everyone who dresses outside of the norm is automatically a wannabe-Gaga and I honestly don't see any similarities between Rihanna and Bey other than their association with Jay-Z.:

Rihanna is Rihanna and that's why I her!

Btw, Rihanna is featured on Eminem's new album! The track is called "Love the Way You Lie", but I haven't heard it yet. Can't wait to see how this turns out. I've gotta feeling it's gonna be a single...

I don't Rihanna style is original at all...

She does copy..Grace Jones ALOT...and her hairstyles were worn by others in the 90's...

I don't see her copying Gaga or Beyonce, but mainly artist of the past...


Sometimes, I think she tries too hard to be "edgy", anbd she looks contrite, but with that said...

Some of her clothes look nice on her, but I don't considered her edgy at all, just a girl trying appear Edgy.



Everyone has different opinions on her style whether it's Original or not...but that's fine

I think her image-makers have taken Rihanna too far, both with the fashion and her music. I mean on this album, Rude Boy was the only decent song; everything else was too production driven and just well.. not very good. She's not the calibre of artist they're trying to make her be. At least, I'm not buying it.

I loved seeing her cut her hair and transform, and Reloaded was a great album. But since the arrival of Gaga and this trend for very individual, quirky singers everyone is trying to outdo each other with the shock fashion and stage shows. Beyonce can spar with Gaga when it comes to that because she's a big character with powerful stage presence. Rihanna et al simply aren't in the same ball park.. hence dial it back. Go back to doing your thing, you were good.
