Is the actual dress see through or does the flash make it that way?

I think it's the flash. I've done the 'flash test' with friends, took pictures of them before going out because they didn't want the dress or shirt to look see through in pictures. Sometimes you see nothing in real life and everything in pictures.

I think the dress is beautiful and she looks great in it, but knowing I was followed by paparazzi I'd probably wear something underneath.
