Rodarte S/S 2014 New York

Rodarte has taken a HUGE turn... :ninja:
I love Nadja and I feel sorry for the look they put her in!
This collection is a mash-up of Daisy Duke, exotic dancers and urban wear! All together looks so weird and so distasteful...I'm nostalgic for what this brand used to be! :(

This sounds shallow, but I am actually sad over this. If you look at what the brand was doing only a couple of years ago and look at what has been presented today, it is like they have had some identity crisis, it is such a transition. I know they are evolving as brand and so with time, naturally the general style of rodarte is going to change, but it is just so disappointing for me as I used to love this brand very much and now this collection one of the worst to come out of new york for me...

Wow, what the f*ck happened to this brand? Identity crisis sound about right for me... this collection is an offense to class and good taste. Why did it have to turn out like this?

perhaps a name change is in order for rodarte?

I'm watching now and feel your pain!! it's like a bad dream, or perhaps a joke they're playing "hey, let's see what we can get away with, everyone loves us now so..."
I have no idea what inspired it, maybe trailer trash, middle america, toddlers in tiaras? It makes me sad to remember how talented they were

You say no to r*tchet p*ssy Rodarte can't. I wouldn't have so much of an issue with their collections, if they didn't appear to be so poorly constructed after all these seasons.

I'm all for exploring ideas, especially those that are against "mainstream;" however, the Rodarte sisters have seemed to have lost the ability to go beyond and dig deep.

I guess they are trying out camp, but not quite getting it. More kitsch.

Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" is the perfect soundtrack for this show, because Rodarte was a brand that I used to know, love and respect...now not so much...

I mean...what the f*** ?!? :ninja:

This brand is so bad at this point that it's not even fun to diss on or make smart as$ remarks about.

UM NO....viewing the collection on style left me a bit speechless. I don't understand it, all it does is scream cheap to me. It has a gaudy feel to it, a lot of the dresses reminded me of bad dance or ice skating uniforms.

Oooooooooooh myyyyyyyyyyyy gooooooooooooood!
Just when I thought they couldn't get any worse.

Well that was the final nail on the coffin for me. Just gonna pretend the brand ended after Spring 2010.

I can't stop cringing. Oh, no. They've been watching one too many Katy Perry videos.

This is disgusting. I can't even imagine who would wear this. I guess Rihanna and Miley, but is that the audience they are looking for?

It's like the Rock of Ages cast meets Vegas showgirl. I can't believe how much their aesthetic has changed, and not for the better. Everything just looked so cheap.

Another 'so bad it's good' collection from them...some 1992 thrift store post- Buffalo girl realness going on here.

LMAO. Glad to see people are finally starting to see that the emperor is not wearing any clothes. They showed some promise in the late 00s, but the last few collections have been devastatingly awful. This one is slightly different in that I don't think they've actually designed anything. It looks like they just went through every 80s store in New York, picked out the ugliest '80s' items and styled them in the most obvious way imaginable. And ta-dah!

i really want to understand how anyone can go to work and say this is what i was to present this season, these clothes represent my idea of beauty this season. it's really confusing and makes me sad considering what they have done in the past.
