Much like TJ Maxx/TK Maxx, Ross is a off-price store selling discount items, mostly clothing.

I tend to find notable pieces only after searching rack after rack, much like TJ Maxx. The last time I visited a location, I purchased only a red coat for $12, but I found many other nice items for sale. In the shoe section, there were BCBG heels for less than $30, along with several Oh Deer! and Nine West shoes.

So, have any of you had much luck at Ross, if applicable?

Is Ross a chain all across the US or does it cater more to certain areas?
I feel like I've heard the name quite a bit around the forum lately but I've never actually heard of any of these stores near me, or known anyone that shops there personally..

^^ i've seen ross all over the east coast. ny/philly/dc/etc. to be quite honest, it's always disappointing. i've never found anything good there, so i don't go any more. marshalls/tj maxx is far superior, if that gives you an idea.

I like ross, ive purchased some LeSport Sac there and shoes they are really good. But i like TJmaxx more for higher designer items.

I used to shop at Ross a few years ago, mainly in Dallas. The quality overall seemed less than other discount chains (TJ Maxx, Marshalls), but once in awhile you could unearth something good. Usually in the shoes department. The clothes....rarely.

I don't enjoy Ross. It's like Marshall's, but more unorganized.

You can find decent things, but you end up looking at the same things over and over again in different sizes. They sell some pairs of Chinese Laundry shoes that I enjoy; much of the home decorating pieces like dishes, vases, plates, and silverware are adorable because they come in great colors.
