From MAC:
"James Kaliardos went eye to eye with Rodarte's punk ballerina look for spring by creating an unusual and highly artistic eye makeup design: black lines underneath and above the eye that met in an exaggerated cat formation somewhere out in the nether brow bone area. The lids were dabbed with turquoise or cobalt, reflecting Rodarte's major colour theme. An art statement or a new way to apply eyeliner that's post modern and pushes the makeup envelope? At Rodarte, it was actually both. The rest of the face was dewy, natural and young - as were those Belle du Jour ponytails dipped in coloured ink."

...The color palette of ivory, navy, aubergine and boysenberry was just gorgeous, and the hair and makeup were the perfect complement.
Shiseido's Dick Page created a "subdued, discreet" look that started with a very soft, layered eye. He used Shiseido Hydro Powder Eye Shadow (a Beauty Addict favorite) in Bare Pink, layered with a taupe powder shadow and a light application of black liner on upper and lower lids. The liner extended slightly beyond the outer corners, but without a big "wing." Black mascara was used on top lashes, favoring the outer corner.
Page then used the lightest two shades of Shiseido Multi-Shade Enhancer in Sunset Glow to highlight the undereye area, sweeping them lightly under the lower lids. It gave the girls a gorgeous "lit from within" glow. Love!
To accent lips (and the philtrum, my favorite beauty vocabulary word), Page applied a smidge of Hydro Powder Shadow in Whitelights (sheer, shimmery bright white) to the cupid's bow and blended outward across the top border of the lip. The same shadow was also used to highlight the inner corners of the eyes, adding to the subtle glow of the whole look.
Tip from the Pros: When highlighting the undereye area, choose a powder with the finest texture you can find, to prevent settling and creasing.

The Lauren Hutton inspiration was spotted all over the NYC runways this season. The sun kissed skin, the bronzed eyes and the beigy lips look so glamorous yet fresh. It makes you not want to pack away your trusty bronzer for winter and just relive summer all over again.
James Kaliardos used MAC paint pots in gold and taupe tones to create an eye look that is both natural and sophisticated. He applied mascara only to the top lashes and used MAC 4N Petal Sprigged to achieve that wonderful beigy pink that you glimpsed on several different catwalks.

To create this sexy-tough Kate Moss-esque look at the Peter Som Spring 2008 Runway Show, Gucci Westman, Lancôme creative director, literally put the makeup on and then took it off.
Flushed, light pink cheeks, smudged eyes with a 60’s lash, and a modern pink lip gave this look a “morning after” feel.
Here’s how to create this look for yourself:
Hint: match your foundation to your skin tone instead of going tan or bronze
- Lancôme Artliner in Noir
- Lancôme Le Crayon Kôhl in Black Ebony (top and bottom lash line)
- Lancôme Courbe Virtuôse Mascara in Black
- Lancôme Color Design Blush in Petticoat Pink
- Lancôme Color Design Lipcolor in Pale Lip
