Same here! I didn't find him attractive at all there (makes sense as he said he took inspiration from The Situation ), and I actually found the movie quite stupid. Great cast, I would've never said no to whatever Julianne Moore's said yes to innocent, but the film itself felt like such a waste of time for me. I hope he doesn't accept too many of these offers in the future.

Yeah, I can see why he decided to make the film, though. To flex his versatility. That being said, the film was a bit of a mess. All over the place. Sporadically funny. Ultimately, it could've been better.

He took inspiration from the situation? Though it makes sense now that I think about it... I still found him hot in it, not his hottest but hot. But the rest of the film was a mess. The pacing was too slow and the humor wasn't always there not to mention how cliched it was. I only watched it for the cast to be honest but even they couldn't save it.

First Production stills of “The Place Beyond the Pines”

Blackfilm.com released the first production stills of “The Place Beyond the Pines” including one of Ryan as Luke. We added the still in our gallery, the movie is directed by Derek Cianfrance who also directed “Blue Valentine” and stars Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, Ben Mendelsohn, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali and Ray Liotta alongside Ryan.

Luke (Gosling) is a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son, but when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Cooper) their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational fued. The Place Beyond the Pines is a rich dramatic thriller that traces the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villain.

Also I watched Crazy,Stupid,Love the other day and even though I prefer my Ryan au naturel, still he's so outrageously hot in it that I really wanted to slap Emma Stone off the bed during the date scene. I truly think Desire's song Under your spell must've been written for him.
