S/S 06 Trends you can't wait for

i like that whole industrial nihilistic minimalistic bourgeouis thingy, it will really blow up i think

were i live thats been going already for months .. maybe we are fashion forward i dont know.

start feeling the ruffled look..
i want some white silk crepe button up ruffled shirts with puff sleeves.. quick

White is the colour for me for SS O6. Loved Phoebe Philos collection for Chloe.

Theme is "Pure Seduction" with clean and fresh lines and a hint of white lace on collars, sleeves and hems. Round toes are still the thing of the moment apart from being a personal favourite.

Personal trend: Bright red lips and very much nothing else. Return of auburn and ginger hair on the catwalks (although i have switched from auburn to my natural chocolate brown just days ago for spring i'll go back to being a redhead.)

A return towards art influences fashion. I love Tamara de Lempicka's Art Deco strong paintings and i find some of the collections have a bit of her subjects allure. Once more bright red lips, white, orange.

Im in a total blah as of late...Im one of those who really can't stand wearing what everyone else is so i keep leaping around trying to find something new, that doesnt seem like that 'revival'/old is new again... *sigh*
So to be honest Im looking forward to finding some clothing that really excites me.

i cant wait for more 90's trends, not minimalism but neon colors. :woot: :P

maybe someone can put a link or some pictures up...? Im not sure I can picture this stuff very well...

Personally i'd like to see some rock-influenced clothes back again on the catwalks. This time with a twist- a mixture of 70's glamour with elements from the 30's but very feminine.

I also hate to wear what everyone else does but i always end up wearing classic pieces that i try to spice up with cool usually one off, vintage accessories (The Italian influence as to always point to good quality accessories, i guess)

If you guys ever happened to be in Milan and are looking for something cool and unique i have an address worth checking out:

RERUNS- STRASCE
Ripa di Porta Ticinese 21,
Milan

+3902 8373937 Marta/ Seida
from: 11-14
16-20

The place is full of treasures( no wonder people from the main fashion houses go there for inspiration) and at reasonable prices.

My latest favorite purchase from them was a pair of vintage, caramel-coloured, flat slouch boots that i once paired with a LBD over a black halter-neck top and black opaque tights.

Red lips ROCK ..
Right on! Eyecatching pink too. I've been doing that especially the last couple months. It's a nice break from the sober colors (black or black). For spring I will have to continue the hunt on the perfect coral/watermelon shade.

I love the hybrid color schemes for next year. It will be love to see everyone wearing a different shade of the same color  (hah, except I already know no one's going to fall for that trend in my area.) I've always been a sucker for clear minimalism. Shapes are ten times more important than prints :innocent: ..

^ perlefine, when I was recently shopping for raspberry red for spring (I was in need of some retail therapy so went shopping for something I needed, if not immediately :innocent: ), I noticed that Clinique has some nice watermelon shades. For coral, this past spring/summer I wore MAC Skew (and Lychee Luxe lip gloss).

i'm not finding a lot out there that inspires me...
i agree with what ta-ta and quirky have already said...

so i think that i might find myself finally getting to all those 'projects' that have been piling up and actually making or customising more of my own stuff....
since there doesn't seem to be anything to buy that i don't already own some version of...

:ermm:...

so maybe it will be more of the 'magpie' look...
sort of cute, eccentric...quirky...
some uneven layering...and 'volume' mixed with 'shrunken'

*wait*......
isn't that what i am doing now?....
...

oh well...
once spring gets here...and summer...
i will probably just wear whatever is comfortable according to the temperature...
comfort before trends...
:P

I have some weird feeling that flapper skirt will be 'in' s/s06... :ninja:
It's clean.. and it's minimalistic... :rolleyes::heart::woot:
