New decade, new look.
Over the past ten years, Lacoste has employed the same “Un Peu d’Air Sur Terre” ad campaign, but now they’re branching out and testing out a new look. And the models chosen to usher Lacoste into the untested waters? None other than Liya Kebede and Anja Rubik.
The duo will debut the “Unconventional Chic” theme alongside Jon Kortajarena and Noah Mills, wearing plain white Lacoste polo shirt over evening dresses in an attempt to play with the idea of dressing up their iconic item. “We’re showing that you can be chic in a different way, not just when you are dressed up for a party or for the office,” explained CEO Christophe Chenut.
If the image above, snapped by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, is any indication of the power that Liya and Anja will infuse into the polo shirt, it’s clear preppy chic will enjoy a bit of a revival.
