S/S 2016: Best and worst shows, general opinions...

Best (in no particular order)
Alexander McQueen
Gucci
Louis Vuitton
Givenchy
Iris van Herpen
Dior
Loewe
Marni
Dion Lee
Haider Ackermann

i miss pre-instagram days like some of you guys have said..i am sick of seeing everonye with their phone up 24/7 not properly watching the show

if i got the opportunity to go to any of these top shows i would maybe take 1 little picture but the rest of the time i'll be LOOKING with my EYES.

everything goes too fast and too commercial now, hate it.

best :
-Proenza Schouler
-Thomas Tait
-Prada
-Marni

worst:
-Gareth Pugh. This collection made my eyes bled....

What more can I say ? More and more bloggers, instant pictures, livestream, Instagram invasions, streetstyle snaps. The runway presentations are shorter and shorter ( It's around 7-8 minutes now ?). Maybe in a coming future, the presentations will last 1 minutes with all the models walking at the same time ?

I had expected more.
Not the best Fashion month.
NYFW :
Marc Jacobs and Givenchy :innocent:

LFW:
Burberry

MFW:
Gucci,
Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani
and Versace and Prada.

PFW :
Maison Margiela,
Dries Van Noten,
Undercover,
Ungaro, Sacai, Giambattista Valli,
Balmain
Alexander McQueen, John Galliano , Chanel, Valentino.
Louis Vuitton maybe? Saint Laurent as Show - not to wear!

All the rest didn't excite me at all, maybe few collections, some Show.

Moschino- Jeremy Scott to trash and he start to be pretentious because of all attention he get from italian jetset.
Balenciaga - Wang behaved himself uncorrect.

Horrible- MM6 Maison Margiela, Vetements.

Best
Maison Rabih Kayrouz / Etro / Hussein Chalayan / Givenchy / Maison Margiela
Worst
Roberto Cavalli / Moschino / Emilio Pucci / Balmain / Saint Laurent

For me, the best were:

Prabal Gurung
Alberta Ferreti
Fendi
Antonio Marras
Valentino
Michael Kors
Altuzarra
Maison Martin Margiela

My favourites;

Lanvin - The leopard wasn't great but everything was Lanvin all over. I loved that dress with the wrap around collar on Edie and the tailoring especially.
Tom Ford - It was an exciting way to present a commercial collection, with the added art direction of Nick Knight, it really fused together wonderfully.
Dior - I loved how cute and put together
Louis Vuitton - Nicolas continued with wearability but with a new idea of how to do 'pretty' or 'biker' it was great.
Versace - The utilitarian pieces at the start were great, this kind of rough around the edges, punk-ish girl that Donatella is creating the past few seasons has really been a hit with me.
Givenchy - It was monochrome and gothic - I loved it.

Worst;

Prada
Miu Miu - I'm over Miuccia's aesthetic, she may be challenging the view of what people define as ugly but for both brands it is just ugly. no matter how much you hype it up. Prada was a let down after last season, that really had a level of elegance last season.
Roberto Cavalli - I was really let down by Peter, I had such high expectations of him doing something ultra sexy and stylish, but instead he sent out some kind of groupie that didn't make the cut. His Pucci was fantastic and so was his Ungaro. I'm ready for him to bring it. I have faith.

I don't want to sound Bergéish.
:lol::lol::lol:

agree there's little inclination for designers to really push boundaries anymore, most simply ask 'what'll sell?'
anyway favourites this season no order:
Miu Miu
Gucci
Prada

worst:
everything else
special mentions for being so bad go to Rick Owens, Balenciaga, Balmain, Kanye.
major disappointment:
Céline

Best

- Louis Vuitton
- Rag and Bone
- Stella McCartney
- Mary Katrantzou

Worst and disappointed
- Alexander Wang & Balenciaga

How is Dolce not in the worst collections? Hahaha
Gucci too... I mean..
I maybe like like two shows & I can't even think of them right now.

^And Pucci, that was awful too. You listed 2 that I forgot. Gucci and Dolce.

Another favourite of mine was Fendi, I loved everything about it. I love the collaboration between Karl, Silvia and Charlotte. They all bring a real mix to the table especially the modern art aspect from Charlotte and her influence from Marc.
