I have been lurking this forum for months and honestly, I do not feel like commenting here much mostly because of the type of person who normally posts something in here: a bunch of super bitter extremely conservative, upper middle class, middle-aged women (I am middle-aged too, btw) who are incredibly privileged complaining about 'wokeness' and anything that doesn't remind them of their old 'glory' days when they were younger.
I am 44 and I think fashion has evolved a lot. If you really want to look for amazing fashion, you will find it. But most people here stick to Gucci, Dior, Chanel and the same old same old who have been doing the same old same old since forever. I honestly feel people of this sort do not really love fashion, they love status symbols. Gucci is and will always be Fugly fashion with fugly logos to flaunt in others' people's faces. Sorry, that's who I am.
I've been happily buying Christopher Esber, Magda Butrym, Peter Do, Khaite and plan to buy me some Alaia next season, because I think Pieter Mulier has given the house what it needed. If you don't appreciate Christopher Esber's artisanry and craftsmanship, you don't simply like fashion and all the beautiful things it is all about. Now, if you excuse me, I have better things to do than joining a place where people are dedicated to destroy other human beings.
