I liked Ellen's dress but the styling was too much. Cloris Leachman, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Elizabeth Perkins & America Ferrera looked great. Boring & downright craptastic for the most part though.

Marishka Hargitay's dress was by and far my favorite. I thought Cate Blanchett looked devine, but I didn't like her dress in and of itself, same with Diane Krugar. I liked Eva Longoria's dress to a degree, but it didn't work for her, in my opinion. She didn't fit it, not in the sense of being too big or too small, but in the sense that the look of the dress didn't mesh with her persona to me. Anne Hathaway looked beautiful, as did Sandra Oh and Ellen Pompeo. No one else really stood out to me.

Did anyone notice the diamond cuff that Bobbie Thomas (the fashion expert) on E! was wearing.. She was presenting with Guiliana DePandi and Ryan Seacrest.. I would love to know who the designer is... It looks like a big ruffle.. can't find a pic

any ideas?

For me, the best outfits were

1. Mariska Hargitay
2. Ellen Pompeo
3. Rachel McAdams

Mariska's hair, makeup and jewelry were lovely with her dress - all those bronze golden smoky tones worked so well together.
Ellen's makeup was a little severe and she looked rather 'hard' but overall she looked striking.
Rachel's faded pink wisps of hair was so irreverent - I loved it - and the short length of her dress made her look fresh amongst a sea of overstyled looks.

There were a whole lot of traditional "train wrecks," but they were inspired, and I really admire that. Wear whatever you want, but wear it well- as cliche as it sounds, confidence is key!

Julia Louis Dreyfus looked like 5 billion dollars. Best dressed

You people are not giving Helen Mirren enough props. The woman is gorgeous. Fabulous! Stunning! While she doesnt look as cute and fun as Rachel McAdams, as nice and the-more-you-look as Sandra Oh or as dewy and glowing as Katherine Heigl, she stands out more for the way she carries herself and wears clothes. She really is rather elder, compared to the other women in this thread you know. Usually age does tend to slow peoples looks down a bit, but this woman just shines with age. She and Judi give me hope ...
