Is it me or did Thandie's speech sound very rehearsed?

she was very lacking in sincerity I thought.....

Mischa attended last year too, she presented then as well. I think it's because she's British born, Stephen Fry mentioned that.

Only joshing, makes sense and I'll always support any reason for more pics of Mischa all dolled up!!!^_^

No word on Sienna's no show...?

I agree with you all about Rachel Weisz, the colour was great for her. I liked Thandie making such a bold choice, she really stood out from the crowd in that dress. Ziyi Zhang looked amazing that dress just clung to all the right places giving an amazing silhouette. I didn't like Mischa's dress, it just seemed to fussy.

I don't understand why half of those people are even in attendance:blink:

Once again, Zellweger and Theron - nothing special.
Thandie's dress was beautiful, but looks a bit "heavy".
Felicity's dress looks not so good on this pictures, but during the live show she looks really good. Zhang Ziyi is just stunning. Michelle Williams's dress was really nice. Rachel Weisz dissaponts me a bit.
Jude Law & Jake Gyllenhaal (I'm so happy, that he won!)- both "walking charismas"

I loved what Jake wore. He looked scruffy with the beard but I loved the coat before he went in... And he won Best Supporting Actor :woot:

....I hope "Brokeback Mountain" gets Best Picture at the Oscar... I'm having my suspicions about "Crash"...

that speech was worked to the last detail- the flower at the end was cringeworthy. But i'm a thandie fan and it's good to see her back from relative obscurity.

Why confused about Jude? He won a BAFTA a few years ago, was nominated for CM, and is a supporter of UK films (Anthony Mingella is president of BAFTAs).

I agree about the rest :ninja:

Thanks for the play by play coverage and the pics everyone :flower:

Loved catherine keener in elie sabb- i so wanted her to win for capote..

Jude Law's hair was a little weird tonight, unkempt. There was little tuft at the back. And is it just me, or he was a little awkward when he presented that speech for the best supporting actress award?

Jake G. was great in his speech, so sincere and it really made me like him more.

Philip Seymour Hoffman:clap: ... he so much deserved that award. Just an amazing performance he gives in Capote:heart:... such an incredible and gifted actor:flower:

For the fantasy geeks (like me) Will Mosely and Rupert Grint at the BAFTA's (from rupertgrint.net, which gets really crabby when they don't get credited)

^^Will was lovely when the lady on the red carpet was interviewing him on E! I saw her interview him and Pierce Brosnan & daughter, Thandie Newton and some other lady which I don't know her name:innocent:

Because Jude was there? Lol I don't know..

Seriously, there was such speculation on the Sienna thread... I would have loved for her to have decked him and done a quick chorus of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" right on the red carpet, but maybe I expect too much...
