Saint Laurent F/W 2025.26 Paris

^^^ It takes a unique skill to make beauty boring. I'll give him that.

Is he leaving ? The soundtrack definitely indicated that, unless I am reading into it too much.

Where could he possibly go that would fit his very limited range and talent???

He’s doing such minimum work for maximum profit with the casual fashion fan all being convinced that the midrange merch is highend, even luxurious offerings. The castings/presentations/campaigns with celebs are all doing the heavylifting for him, he’s be a fool to leave such a plush gig. The bare-minimum designs are as basic as it comes and even the clashing color-palette is so lazy he didn’t even bother to add even his own take: pilfering and mining 80s diffusion lines, Cosmo magazine sensibility, department-store aesthetic— and just putting silly huge shoulders on everything. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam.

His collections are like when you have stretch out your essay as much as you can to hit the word count.

It’s literally just a handful of looks reproduced in various colors. And the looks are always something plucked from the archives. He’s the laziest designer out there.

Not fashion, he is obviously more interested in cinema than fashion.
But yes he would be a fool to leave now. He has it easy for now, doesn’t event have to show a bag.
His shows are exquisitely curated but the collections always lack (3 silhouettes in 10 colours = 30 looks).
His pre-fall and cruise lookbooks have better fashion anyway.

With this approach of only choosing a few silhouettes from the archives and giving them some few tweaks and a variety of colors, I think he can stay at the house for at least 20 years, considering the richness of YSL archives.

I can see big-volume gowns are not his forte, because they look weird in motions by the way they bounce, it’s just seem off.

Good color palette, I guessed.

I found the way they bounced hypnotic! They looked like jellyfishes. Loved them!

I knew from the first look that I'd be obsessed, and sat and watched the live stream in awe. Those colour combinations, volumes and proportions at the start of the collection are FABULOUS. So bold, graphic, rich, and oh so fantastically 80s. Admittedly, however, I am not a fan of those dresses toward the end of the collection. They're awful and feel out of place - like an afterthought.

I dont think he will leave now, specially if he is interested in cinema...

Not his best collection...loved the shoes...
