Saint Laurent F/W 2025.26 Paris

He’s doing such minimum work for maximum profit with the casual fashion fan all being convinced that the midrange merch is highend, even luxurious offerings.
Yes, I'm fascinated by his life. He seems to spend half his time in L.A. (Plus, I believe his husband works at YSL too, so they are really maximizing this time at YSL and would lose two salaries if he left. I mean, good for them for working the system I guess...get it girl!).

Now, if I have to judge this rationally, I think it is a very limited and repetitive offering.
But I would lie if I didn't say that I was scotched from second one. The set, gorgeous. The music, beautiful. The pacing, correct.
I was hypnotysed by the colors (very Yves 90s). Some looks were sublime (those bows behind the neck!). The dresses at the end had not the sharpest cut and didn't match the previous style.
As a whole, a wonderful show.

Basically I am writing what vogue28 wrote better thirty minutes ago 😅

Zoe Saldaña would’ve crushed the Oscar’s in one of those final gowns, why, why they’d go with the gown that she wore having these is a mystery that remains unsolved.

The color palette is divine I must say. Great show, as per usual. But I guess that's about it for me. Very repetitive looks indeed. I don't like the silhouettes - those large shoulders, V-shape coats. I think they look unfortunate on the models, how would they look on regular people? Actually, they might look better, I don't know.

Oh God its terrible how charming his fashion is, it clouds your judgement. Not to mention the show.

But looking closely, the shoulders don't make sense. its not a inverted triangle silhouette, its minecraft boxes. The whole wardrobe is so dated too. A far cry from what Vacarello did at his own brand. The jackets are the most modern items.

Better than last season suits but still not very good. Dated asf.

I love the printed plastic pieces and the finale dresses 🤫

He's very limited as a designer but he's a good stylist (although not in the way that Marc is for example) and he always manages to create an allure around his shows. In this particular collection, I love the colour palette. However the lace pieces unfortunately bring to mind Prada F/W 08. Sorry to be that person but for me those looks are not distinct enough for me to disassociate them from the overt influence of Miuccia.

Hate the gowns at the end though, they move very clumsily.

It’s things that I would wear personally but it’s getting a bit stale

And that last 2 looks feels like he’s going back to beginning of his tenure with the bomber jacket and the full blown gown?

I'm so bored of him constantly referencing Yves' dusty eras.

I’ve always found 80s fashion to be so depressing compared to other eras. I can’t describe it. No matter how glam, there’s something sad about it to me.

Ew. This collection is just an ugly excuse for the fantastic shoes and accessories.

80s shoulders will forever be the hallmark of lazy designers for me. It's a cop-out and an unflattering one too. A shame because the pencil skirts and the citrusy color palette could have been something much greater.

AV is just not very talented.

The moment I saw Amalia on the video teaser, I knew it was about 80’s colors and shapes. The collection is OK and also very predictable.
Every YSL show is a styling exercise at this point and while it looks « fresh », it’s actually rather boring.

I liked the pencil skirts looks though and the shoes as usual, fantastic!

The perfect equation for me is clothes from Tom Ford or Louis Vuitton, shoes from Saint Laurent.

I wonder if he will ever get away from this phase of curated collections…

I've been waiting for this show for 6 months 😂😂 to be honest with you this has been the only show I've cared about for the last 3 years and he delivered for me.
I'm a huge YSL fan and I have no problems with anybody going into the archives !
But he gives it a nice fresh cool take which is what he's good at he is a stylist and a slight bit of a designer
This was great the openings were amazing Bella in that blue lace with those extreme shoulder pads was amazing. He tucked nothing in at the waist only from the top of the shoulder pads to the hips I thought that was great.

We live in a modern world with a lot of information going on all at once and I think by him limiting the collection in a couple of silhouettes really works!
I wonder how this will play out in stores are the girls going to want those shoulders I hope so.

From my male perspective, being a woman must be a very difficult task all around the world. Women go through a lot of hardships .
I truly think that this was an empowering collection and I think he's an empowering designer right along the lines with McQueen Versace Tom Ford they want woman to be powerful and strong and I think that's what he offered tonight. Strong in pants a lace dress or oversized bomber jacket fantastic show these are my favorites.

I would like to see some bags on the runway, why AV is so restrained on this matter?
