Saint Laurent Paris S/S 2013 : Julia Nobis, Edie Campbell, Beck by Hedi Slimane

^^^Yeah, me too. Her usual soulless and detached attitude works well here. Or, maybe I just really dig an unfussy approach.

I want to see more, to me this is boring. I'd prefer Anja's version.

All the YSL camapaigns will look this depressing from now on right? At least Julia looks good in here, she fits the colection at least.
Im just getting sick of this because he has been in the house for one season and we already have 4 different camapigns who look alike.

why not? The world need more black and white campaign! Though I have to see more but this looks ok to me.

Julia wouldnt have been my top pick for this campaign, I dont see her as sexy or glam but I do like the shot and the outfit looks incredible, curious to see more.

I don't think this's boring, in fact, all YSL ads look the same tbh. Julia looks wonderful and perfect for the brand. Love it.

Surprised to see Julia for YSL but I think she really fits the theme here.
Waiting to see more though.

I think the first shot looks sensational. The best I've seen from Julia, actually. I love the mood and the clothes look really good. I just wish we could see colors, though.

I'm not sure that's what they were going for here, but I really think this is the best Julia has ever looked.

As long as Hedi shoots them, then yes they are going to look tired, boring and depressing. He can shoot in black and white all he wants to creat an "artistic" result, but her will never convince me of his talent in photography.

^I'm sure the B&W effect emphasizes her nose which is makes her stand out among the crowd. With a normal nose this girl would look plain.

I didn't see Julia getting this campaign
anyway I like the first ad, looks sophisticated and mysterious:heart:

I can't stand Hedi Slimane's photography. Literally everything he's shot is black and white and probably in a studio. So what confuses me is why he moves HQ to LA to focus on his photography when he could just move to Paris and do the same thing. This ad, like the collection, is bullsh*t. I can't wait to see these clothes on sales racks looking old and dusty, because that's exactly what the result of the collection was. Clothes that look good on the mannequin, but once they're on a hanger in the sales room it gets dusty.
