Scarfs On Bag Straps

how should i tie my silk scarf on my bag straps??
what scarf shape is the best for tying them on bags?? triangle, square, etc...
when i tie mine on my bag, it just ends up looking hideous... can anyone help me?

well... there are many techniques for doing this.

1. Use a loooong rectangular scarf. Tie at once side, then wrap all the way to the next side and secure with a brooch or maybe even a safety pin.

2. braid it on- use 2 loong scarves, using the strap as the 3rd piece and braid away. then secure with a pin or brooch or tie it.

3. tie it- just tie it on the side and secure with either a knot, a pin or a brooch, use any kind for this technique

I actually do this quite often, and find that the medium-length rectangular shaped scarves work the best. And I really only do this with short handled bags that wear close to right underneath my arm. Just tie it in a knot and let it hang down - great add-on!
