lots of stripes on the runways so far...
many have been of the sailor variety and consist of alternating two colors (one of them usually white) but we've also seen some colorful striped pieces as well...

most have been horizontal but there have been some vertical mixed in as well

Every single girl in my town wear striped tops these days, and they have been for months. But then again, NY FW isn't the most innovative...

stripes may not necessarily be innovative but seeing as a lot of people like to wear them it's probably a smart choice for designers in this economy if that's what sells...

i'm not surprised we're seeing more commercial, what people might consider "safe" pieces...
