I love seeing everyone's work! Sewing can be so rewarding because it takes time and patience to learn... but having something you made and can wear is just a terrific feeling.

It's hard to tell what they really look like, but they seem like very nice jeans!

Hmm yeah, sorry about that, the pictures are both too small and too cropped. I'm afraid I don't currently have any others, but the jeans are pretty straight legged... They're a little bigger then I anticipated, because I've lost weight since I devised that particular pant block. Thank you though

I love skinny jeans so I made a pair! But...does anyone know how to wear skinny jeans without looking fat? I don't know, I have really thin calves so whenever I wear skinny jeans I feel like my thighs are huge!!

cardboardyou made those??? wow. cool. I've just started to meet alot of people who are really good with sewing. It really blows my mind everytime I see what they do.
Do they make you look fat???? No way. You're like skinny. they look perfect. And honestly you'd have to get more then just a little fat to start
even remotly having your clothes looking bad because of it. So I have a question, how do you get your feet in and out of the bottoms. They look too tight to get them in and out. Or perhaps your feet are just really small???

I'm enjoying everything you post so please dont stop. The corset belt. Is really cool. I love the whole look. Again, I just started to become aware of this whole sewing thing, so everything is all shiny and new to me. Very impressive.
so how does the corset clasp in the front.... with little hooks???

Elegance.is.Refusal, goosemaster, thank you! And in response to your question there is a busk on that belt that is sort of like hooks and eyes, but sort of with studs and little slots. My bf and I are making some big cool looking hooks to go on the final belt.

Here is a wool skirt with a burnt out velvet floral pattern that I finished on Thursday. It's lined with silk. I was going for the naughty secretary/librarian look. Took me 5 samples to get it to fit like this.

Oh! By the way, I finally bought a serger!! I can't wait for it to get here. It's a Simplicity Frontier. Does anyone else have this?

I think it will make sewing faster and better quality
