I have just started sewing and so far I have made a plain white dress and high wasted skirt. I go for the simple things :p Sewing isn't that hard, but you need to be really patient and not to mention precise.

My next project is a high wasted skirt in red silk with a big bow on ^_^

looks like it has some gathering at the waist

nice print too

anyone know of any good blogs about sewing and DIY fashion projects? I´ve been searching but can´t find any good ones, thanks!

I just made these for a project in my school. Unfortunatly they dont fit me, because of the 36-38 standard we have to sew in.

I wanted them to be black, but i couldnt find any black denim in the shops i was in, and i didnt want to spend to much time and money on it, since they dont fit me.:)

Nice!! I'm like you.. I go for simple things as well. Mostly because it's hard to find simple items with a precise fit. and I'm always craving simplicity in my wardrobe

Although I know how to work a sewing machine completely and know how to sew and do sew, I have never like made anything with a pattern, yet.
I really want to so I can personalise it just like I want and post it on here!
*isn't completely obsessed with tFS at all*

...Although I did make this:

For my Urban project.

Extremely simple, held up just with ties, shape based on skyscrapers, colours and material inspired by Schiaparelli so it's all synthetic.

I recently made this high-waisted skirt. It was my first experience with the sewing machine and so far so good.

I thought I would post pics of the dress that I am working on:

It is blue satin, but I used the wrong side on purpose to give it a more matt effect (I dislike satin for some pieces because it can be so cheap looking). And I have used cream lace for trimming (although it looks quite white in these pictures). I am doing a bubble hem and then I am putting a couple of buttons on the ruffles.

made a toile of the sleeve i designed for my final project in foundation right now.
turned out mostly what i expected but still with a few editing of the pattern
