the blouse and skirt is designed and sew by my sister. She would like to now what do you think about this? thanks for any opinion

My cat & I have been making her a cushion. I saw what I thought was an Emily Strange bag, but it was a cushion, so bought it anyway to customise. I am making the cushion outside into a bag by lining it with white velvet & adding a strap from a charity shop bag. I drew round the cat face shape to make the cushion in white blanket fabric with pawprints & bound it with pink satin binding. We are both happy with the results.

Does anyone do much hand sewing here?

Now knowing how to work several different sewing machines completely I got completely bored of doing it. It was way too easy just to go to the sewing machine and run something up.
So I discovered hand sewing.

I spent about two hours yesterday and seven hours today pinning and hand sewing the hem of a large purple satin rectangle.
I love corners you see.
I then made it into a shoulder cape with a draping back.
I am so proud of it.
Though it isn't an amazing garment, when you look at it, you can see the work put into it - the feeling of achievement is the best.

i don't do much hand sewing. It's better quality and all, but for impatient people like moi  nope.

some friends i know though love hand sewing, and knitting and all that. they say they get sense of achievement, but only sense of achievement i get from sewing is getting it done asap, perfect as possible.

I do both. I love the speed of using a machine & use that for most of things I make, but always take the time to finish it by hand & have no loose threads or anything like that. My college tutor's motto was 'Finish, finish, finish' & I always like to finish things right
