Short hair

white linen - i used to have really long hair and i gradually kept getting it cut a bit shorter and a bit shorter, till i found my limit, and now i can keep it exactly where it suits me best. So i think thats the best advice, it takes time, but its better than just hacking it all off and then regretting it (although it is only hair, it grows back!).. another good tip, i find, is to get the back cut shorter, like, as short as it can be, but keep it a little bit longer around the face/tops of ears. That way i have the feeling of having really short hair but a bit left over for security, plus it doesnt look so harsh

i hope this helps :)

im getting my hair cut this afternoon! so i'll post some pics later

Ladies I need some inspiration please !

This is what it looks like now

....same again ?

ps. Messing around with the focus...ie using bad focus haha.

I chopped my hair off! First I did it myself with a pair of scissors and then I went to a hairdresser to finish it off. It's quite short now, I'd say it's a pixie cut. I'm amazed that it actually suits me. No one ever thought it would, but now I have been receiving so many positive comments about it.

Are you asking from me? No, sorry. I am proud of not having any photos of myself online ;)

I am always playing with length, and I get caught up in the fantasy where I see a girl with long gorgeous hair and think that I can have the same look. So then I grow it out and try, and end up getting used to it, and forgetting that I LOVE short hair. Then when I go for the cut, I get that charge again. Right now it's sort of bob-esque, but come summer I'm taking it to a pixie/shag/crop. And really, it's hair. If you cut it and hate it, you just have to wait it out. And if you have a good stylist, you can always just ask what they think first.

That's exactly what I'd say if you are getting a pixie style/crop , really speak to your hairdressers before , ask their advice about what will suit what won't. I've had to start doing it , had too many disasters !

On the other hand, no one, even my hairdresser, didn't think pixie style would suit me. Now when I cut it that way I have been receiving more compliments for my hair than I have ever before. My hairdresser was amazed by the result. So always even the hairdresser does not know whether it will suit or not.

If you have dreamed of cutting your hair, just go for it. Don't think whether it looks good or not, take a pair of scissors and do it. It's only hair and it always grows back.

I think having short hair and looking good really depends on your personality. I cut my hair short 5 years ago and it did look alright looks good with my face. But I was so uncomfortable with it that looking at pictures of it now, I looked awfull.

I used to dream about a perfect bob for many years but I never had enough courage to cut my hair. I had hair extensions and I was afraid how I'm going to look. Then I had to take my extensions away and my hair was so damaged that I was forced to cut it shorter. That was basically best decision I have ever made. Now my hair is somewhere under the ears and the model is a very classic bob, because I don't mind to have too much layers. I just love it! It's so much easier and more different than a long hair used to be.

I'd love to go for a Louise Brooks style bob but I'm afraid it will look too much like a wig. Anyone had that style before ?

that used to be my signature cut! it won't look like a wig as long as you keep the volume under control. i always found that the puffier it was, the more wig-like it became... i hope this helps :flower:

I have that style. I can only repeat what bass.face said, the trick is to keep the hair very sleek with little volume. High hair is a big no no!

I want to become a cross-breed of these women.

Well, that's true. The other one is Bonnie and the other one Mata Hari, right?

so, i got my hair cut 2 weeks ago and have been meaning to post a picture up. To some of you this may not be short, but it was for me as my hair was 1/2 way down my back before.
here is a picture of how it looks...
