I'm thinking very seriously about making the plunge to short hair. I LOVE Anja Rubik's hair, and if I did go short, I would probably get it permanently straightened, since my hair is thin but frizzy/wavy-curly. My only two concerns are that a) I'll look like a boy, and b) It will make my round face look even rounder.

Any advice/comments?

Do you have any pics of yourself? It's hard to give you hair advice since I don't know what your face looks like. I LOVE Anja's hair and think it's an awesome cut. She's has insane bone structure though.

I think even though your face is round, it would look cute short because you have nice bone structure. Christina Ricci, Kirsten Dunst, and Maggie Gylenhaal all have round faces and look great with short hair!

^oh im in the same predicament! i really cant stand my hair and want to chop it off. i was thinking something like Victoria beckham. but soo many asian girls have that same style. i want something edgy and cool but not too short. grrr. i dont know what to do...

my hair is growing out and driving me crazy...i was hoping it would grow out to look something like audrey tautou's...but i'm not quite sure that it's there! i don't know what's wrong with it, i just know it isn't what i want it to be. maybe it just doesn't look the same without audrey tautou's face, which i certainly don't have. oh i hate these growing out processes. i feel like i either need to wear hats for a while and keep growing it, or cut it back into my shorter pixie cut. what do you guys think?

I say, go for it! You could definitely do short hair! I have a round face and I only look good with short hair. The only thing you have to be aware of is maintaining some height at the top/crown of your head; it will add the illusion of a longer face. Without some height, the roundness of your face will be accentuated. I spike up the top/back of mine.

Yeah, that's what I've been reading.

I'm going to try and go tomorrow, and see what my lady says about whether I should do it or not (she's the final word, as I love what she's done to my hair in the past). But I've mentally prepared myself, and the more I think about it, the more I feel that long hair is such a hassle and a chore.

^ Ah well you never know unless you try I tried and loved it...Could never go back to having long hair! And the great thing about having it short is that you can try a lot of different looks during the grow-out phase...Maintenence though is a little double-sided...Very easy to style it on the go...But the down side is maintaining its shape...I find that I have to go in every 4-6 weeks to trim it back into shape (but of course this all depends on how quick your hair grows) Best of luck

to pegged wrong: go ahead i thought i would be sad that all my hair was gone but it's so much easier now and i'm happy with it, especially because it's summer and hot.

i use guhl camomile or lemon balm, smells really good!!
i just know the correct german names: guhl farbglanz blond - blond reflex shampoo and lemon balm is called anti-fett... stupid name but i love it!
