I've always thought that these tailored short shorts (in reference to Posts #20 and the first picture in Post #24) were classy shorts for ladies to wear. I've seen certain short shorts in pictures of certain ladies who went to the nightclub wearing such shorts. You can't get away with wearing these at the office, but as classy as these shorts can look, it almost seems like you SHOULD get away with wearing pants like these. My favorite of the three pictures I referenced to is the lady in the orange-yellow and white striped tank top with wedge sandals (Post #20, second picture). I'd really like to see a lady try to go for a professional suit outfit, only wearing one of those tailored short-shorts instead of traditional career wear pants or skirts.
Now on to dresses. I like the Anne Valerie Hash dress in Post #6. And even though they aren't very stylish nowadays, I still love those puffy sleeves like what the dress has. The pale yellow or champagne color with the top part of the dress offsetting the bright colors is very nice. I probably would have liked a magenta or Midnight Blue color for that part of the dress. Otherwise, still lovely.
If this trend is popular among ladies 21 and younger, I wonder if this will re-ignite the "ladies shouldn't be wearing skirts/shorts this short" rant. Heck, I've been wanting to see the "bare your legs" deal even as skirts were being ruined with leggings (I've gradually eased up on this trend over time). The traditional "if you got it... flaunt it" statement applies. Nothing like baring your legs wearing such clothing in the Spring and Summer. I'd probably go with those short-shorts if I were a lady. I would mostly wear longer garments anyways. It could range from the most basic of jeans to floor-length skirts if I were a lady.
Lots of possibilities. No way to do this trend wrong.
