Looks like it could be a great mobile device. Smaller than the II and apparently has better connectivity.

The normal Sidekick looks crazy when youre holding it up to your ear, also I find them to be incredibly...tacky I think might be the word Im looking for...I just dont like them.

Ya, it's hard to carry two devices. It looks a little big to keep on hand all the time. If it really is EDGE enabled and can switch over to wi-fi as available it could be pretty handy.

^ agreed. Espescially since my school has free wi-fi. It's not too bad carrying two devices, but I just can't imagine using that as a phone. !

I'm not very impressed. The thing that I liked about the SKII was that it seemed like more of a "blank canvas". This one is too sharp and too...straight forward? Now it just looks like a regular phone. But I do hear that they were trying to match Broadband speeds with this version of the phone.=]

I'll stick with my Razr, thank you very much. Phones aren't computers, if you want to use the internet that badly get a laptop! I find it was too bulky like others have said.

The SK's main purpose is a data device and secondary a phone device. Why should someone spend 1000+ on a laptop when all they really wanted was to browse some sites or instant message during their break.

The redesigned SK III hasn't even released the specs yet, so saying that it's bulky would be an unjustified claim. It will be a tad bigger than your 'razr', but it will have far more useful features than the 'razr', which will outweigh its functionality to size.

thank you. It isn't always possible to take a laptop around wherever someone goes.

You can either put it up to your ear or use an earpiece.

@ vintage_princess: The SKII doesn't have blue tooth, so you can't use a wireless handsfree kit. You have the option of holding it up to your ear, or using a wired handsfree kit.

Sorry, I think all three of the Sidekicks are hideous and I don't understand why everyone HAS to have one. I know it's "good" for messaging and whatnot, but they are less ugly versions.
