Snejana Onopka started her modeling career as a 15-year old who was spotted on the streets of Kiev by an International scout. She appeard on the International arena in 2005 and immediately signed a Fall/Winter contract to advertise for the house of Prada. A year later, she was an icon of the most famous designers of the world: she opened shows for Dolce and Gabbana, Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen and Fendi, amongst others. Her success was furthered with campaigns for the worlds biggest luxury houses, such as Calvin Klein, Chanel, D&G, Yves Saint Lauren, Gucci, Lanvin i Louis Vuitton. Within 2 years, the Ukrainian was also the face of Shiseido (Spring/Summer 2007), the perfume ad campaign for Gucci Eau De Parfum II and she also appeared on numerous famous magazine covers like Vogue, i-D and Numero.
Today Snejana Onopka is one of the most famous faces from Eastern Europe. Her beauty comes from her blueish eyes, her water-nymph features, blonde hair and very thin body – Snejana is one of the most thinnest models, and is becoming increasingly more criticized by oposers of anorexia. As visible from her lack of body weight, just like many of her fellow modeling colleagues, Onopka was not allowed to model in this years Madrid Fashion week. But for many of the specialists in the fashion world, the spectacular thinness of Snejana, is one of her greatest assets.
The Ukrainian currently works for known modeling agencies from New York (DNA Model Management), Paris (Viva) and Milan (Why Not). In the future Snejana plans to finish school, learn foreign languages and travel around the worlds most beautiful corners.
