well, let me put my 2 cents here.

Ukranians must be proud of the great Snejana instead of hating her

I don't know that here in Ukraine or in Russia someone hates her. I mean there's surely some people who have problems with themselves so they try to compensate that somehow on someone who's beautiful AND successful. She gets pretty much coverage in local glossies portraying her to be some sort of national treasure (which is true) so people DO respect her and cherish her. SO i guess it's not the point.

I think they dislike her because of her attitude and mostly because of their envy

Actually a friend of mine who interviewed Snejana in Kiev last year (the text I had posted some time ago in this thread) did tell me some things picturing Snejana as some kind of vain and arrogant person. But I think if we talk about an attitude it's something that might relate only to those who contact with her in real life, it's not a matter for mass-hysteria. And after all, she may be a bit vain (if it's not the best thing ever). The girl is young, successful and rich, so it's no wonder she can be a bit spoiled. At the end she must be a good model, it doesn't mean she has to be totally lovely person. And as a public face (if it's about the media coverage) it's much more important to talk about her professional behavior and achievements rather than her lifestyle and her Bentley. We should respect her right to live in her own skin and we're here not to judge her. As isn't anybody else.

And that's totally true. Lots of people who have broken destinies, lives they don't know how to live, they rather look for someone's sins than try to become a bit better. Once I happened to read so nasty comments on NV written by some Russian lady. It was so dirty, miserable and awful I don't even want to remember that. It's pity to say, but Russians (and Ukrainians) don't like successful people, the ones who are better than the mass, the ones who stand out. That is why we have such a perverse understanding of Celebrities Cult. It's all about someone's dirty laundry rather than someone's success. But things tend to change. I hope so.

Anyway, you can't take Snejana's success from her. She's a real professional and that is what matters. Let's leave dirty talks to those who know nothing good to focus on.
Bring it on, Snej, bring it on.

^Thank you for your opinion j'adorekapusta, I appreciate your point of view and I agree with you. It's not for any of us to judge her character, or question her decisions. She is young and all possibilities are open to her, and I hope she is happy and fulfilled, and that she continues to do good work. I am sure that if Meisel has a project which is appropriate, he will work with Snejana again because they have always created stellar work together. I know she is extremely indebted to him for his help in her career.

Anyway, you can't take Snejana's success from her. She's a real professional and that is what matters. Let's leave dirty talks to those who know nothing good to focus on.

Meisel uses models like puppets:when he gets bored and they lost attention he trows them away like garbage
He used Snejana,Hilary,Agyness,Coco for several issues...but they have not appeared on the cover for monts(last Coco's cover was November 2007,Agyness September 2007,Hilary February 2007)
No cover=no editorial...I don't think he could not find a good work for Snejana in a year
