Snejana Onopka

ugh she always goes overboards with her stylings, I hate that! I mean those jeans are embelished per se so she would look just amazing in jeans and leather jacket with this killer shoes. She doesn't need jewellry but nooo, she must put on the earrings, the watch, this bracelet or whatever and on the top of it - foulard...ugh! I really dislike the "rich russian style"...it just pisses me off coz she's way too beautiful so she doesn't need all this to look good!

I love it. Her entire overkill to me is beautiful, she's just eccentric and a bit obsessive compulsive, more than she knows probably....But anyhow dressed up or down I dont notice the accessories, she is just too beautiful....oh and AIHBA...LOVE your video...love how it opens with her at Chanel...I will be obsessed with this, thank you for making.

oh what is the Sting/the police remix used in your video AIHBA or anyone know? I used to like this song, dont remember the title though...begins at 03:35? Anyone else know? :D

What difference does it make if her boyfriend is a billionaire? Still she works as a model and if I were her I would feel quite cheap while spending his money. Especially coz she's got her own money.

How do you all know that she owns Vertu Boucheron and all that stuff? does she somehow brags about it? I don't remember reading about it. I would never say such thing in an interview.

You guys are so funny. You imagine her to be someone else than she actually is.....
She is not worse or better, just different.
Russians and Ukrainians they have just a completely different mentality.

Flyest, saw it with my own eyes, when she was speaking into it. Of course she doesnt run around shouting "Look at my amazing Vertu"....

yeah but ok once you were poor ok but all of a sudden you don't have to wear the mooost expensive clothes, the most expensive watch, phone, bag, earrings...it's so phony to me...and a bit lame...don't know, it's just my opinion. But it's true, you can recognize a Russian woman miles away.

I love her face and body, but her style not so much, although I adored that photo of her in jeans and some fur jacket. that was lovely. I also understand why she likes this bling-bling effect so much, she probably liked gold, etc. when she was poor and now she's just transferring it to more expensive stuff.
Vertu is so ugly :/ I wouldn't give 500 euros for that.What I like more is Nokia N97 :D

Since I saw Vlada's and Snejana's "style" like 2 years ago I always hoped that they would actually learn something while modeling...but I guess they haven't...ok Vlada's style really improved but I dislike Snejana's...sorry fans!

I'm not saying you can't like Snejana's style, obv you can, but how can you even compare her to Vlada, lol. I like Vlada, but the girl has NO style. It's like she picks the worst things from every show she's in. Snejana's style is just flashy. I guess she doesn't like subtlety when it comes to style.

Also, does anyone know if she was present at that Model Night Out thing in NY?

Totally agree, Vlada dresses...well I don't want to be rude. Natasha and Anna S. have amazing style if were on the topic of Russian Models but Snejana wears flattering outfits but then totally over loads them with all her expensive accessories. However I think her persona and elegance stop her from looking tacky, Vlada's style can look quite tacky.

edit: I think her Ralph Lauren dress, shoes and bag look amazing, plus she didn't go mad with accessories, maybe she had an ephinay (or a stylist dressed her).

Oh I agree and disagree. Yes, I do think Snejana's style is flashy. She kinda chooses over-the-top stuff (Balmain glittery clothes, furry bags, logo type-y things) that sometimes it might look tacky/trashy or like she's trying too hard, but overall they make her excel.

Vlada, in the other hand, picks more subtle things or at least try to choose something a little bit quirky (for example, her Balenciaga boots, a Rick Owens jacket or a shiny purple jacket) and match it with more down to Earth stuff so it doesn't look overload or goes with the safest option which is black.

My point is, both girls have idiosyncratic styles that might work sometimes or become hit or miss, but there's no way they haven't learn anything from their years in the modeling industry.

Love Inguna but then I heard her speak and she annoyed me. In the photo of the four of them above posted by miu_miu my eyes immediately go to Snejana. I think she pulls off the excess, the bling, the furs. I love it on her. It's something _I_ havent seen on many models since Kate Moss, an individual personal style that sticks out. Not in any way comparing her to the status of Kate Moss by the way...just that the way they both put interesting and rare pieces together they're memorable, at least to me.

Again, I'm a bit upset I didnt get into Snejana sooner but at least I have this thread and her old thread to relive her perfection whenever I am in the mood.

miu_miu do YOU know the Sting/Police remix used behind some woman's voice on AIHBA's video?

I think that out of all the models - Natasha has most "americanized" in style and attitude. I think Vlada and Snejana have completely not americanized and Sasha P. is half.

I'm glad Snejana hasnt "Americanized" herself. Stay true to who you are, fine to take plenty of risks, but Natasha Poly bugs me to no end, anyway...wonder if Snejana comes on this forum to read her thread?

Why do you mean with Americanized??
I do like Snejana's style, its very flashy and its true she doesnt get it right in ocations but I believe that her style shows how she is,a diva and I love it.

I agree with what you said about Snejana's style. She's flashy, but I don't think it's ugly. I think it's tasteful flashy, if that makes sense, lol. Like she'll have bling bling and fur bag, but she'll pair it with simple jeans/tshirt, so it's not too over the top. Plus, like you said, she's a diva and her style just works for her. Maybe if you don't know her personality (obviously none of us know her personally, but if you follow her you have an idea) her style may seem too much, but for me, I think Snejana the person matches Snejana the style.

Hope I made sense, lol.

Hahah in Russia/Ukraine her style would be considered amazing and here it's considered tacky.
It just depends on the country I guess.
And vise versa in Ukraine/Russia all this torn-punk-Alexander Wang-80-s-are-back style (kinda like Erin Wasson(you know what i mean)) is not even considered beautiful or stylish.

I'm against 80's are back style, cause 80's weren't beautiful, so why repeat them?
But I do understand why Snejana's style is considered to be amazing in Russia, Ukraine, etc. It's different culture and that's it, even with globalization some things stay the same. Why should everyone be and look the same.
