Welcome back, pinnie!:flower: We missed you a lot.
I believe our dear Snejana will do a better job in the coming season!

I love her "no BS" attitude but girl needs to step up her game. :judge: I want to see more campaigns!

I read somewhere that she did the Christian Lacroix FW06 campaign, is it true?

^I don't think so, here's a list of all the campaigns she's been in:

Snejana did great campaign seasons in 2006 and I think Steven Meisel played the most important role in this period of her time. Her 3 Dolce campaigns, Lanvin campaign and Prada campaign were all shot by Meisel, not to mention her editorials and covers for Vogue Italia.
I guess Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2006 campaign was her latest job did with Meisel, right? I've no idea why Meisel "dumped" her ever since. And maybe we've already discussed this issue a long time ago, but I still want to point it out. If Snejana kept cooperating with Meisel, she might get more campaigns than actually.
Anyway, that's just my point of view. I really do hope Steven Meisel will use Snejana in the following editorials or campaigns he shoots, he found her at the first place! And they always do amazing work together.

Snejana still appears in Anna Sui shows which suggests Meisel has not 'dumped her' .

What is important is that he did give her a great launch and now she is a fixture in the fashion world ^_^ It would be nice if he at least used her in one of his multi girl editorials. She would have been amazing in the rehab story.

Yes, it would be amazing if Snejana was featured in those multi-girl eds such as the rehab one and the "Make love, not war" one.;)

Yes I find the whole Meisel dumping her thing a little sad but its not like hes never done it before.

Hes 'let go' of models like Stam and Coco Rocha and even Sasha. When was the last time they worked together?

He's so Andy Warhol with using girls and then dumping them after they've become passe.

I'm not sure if casting her as one of like 25 girls for a runway show, necesserily negates that point. Now, if there were 5, then you'd be on to something.

I don't like suckups either, but unfortunately (or not), tha's the name of the game. You have to be able to work the crowd, if you want to be able to get work. I'm just thinking that maybe, on top of not being natural at this, Snejana just doesn't really want it THAT desperately. I don't think we need to be told that she will go to um, great lenghts for something, so perhaps she just lost some of the initial passion for modeling. She always talks about becoming a lawyer, she never really was in the fashion "scene", like someone said she's there to do a job and that's it. So in sum, I think it's partly her own, intentional doing.

As for Miesel. I think Snejana's thankful to him for giving her a chance and in modeling, nobody is eternal. So you're a fad for a couple seasons and then you're on your own. I do however wish, he'd still shoot her at least ONCE in a while. Because even though I really hate how one person can have such big monopoly, it's true in this case and he can get you places.

I agree about Meisel. He casts girls he almost never works with, see Han Hye Jin and Anne Watanabe. He has favorites, girls he likes and girls he dislikes. In Anna Sui he casts his favorites and the girls he dislikes, but that doesn't mean he works with all of them. He liked Snejana but then he probably got bored of her. That's life.

^^^ agree.

Sometimes a model needs to make herself more known to the fashion crowd and public in general.

I mean theres only so much a photographer can do for a model. Look at Agyness Deyn. She may not be the prettiest woman in the world but shes had Meisel behind her and shes become a lucrative product in a way through her [over] exposure. That's why clients want her - because the public wants her. If that makes sense.

Snejana's career is puzzling to me. I mean shes popular within the fashion world but she isn't popular with clients obviously. I mean Craig McDean is the only one doing anything for her. And he isn't really a influential photographer.

I can't get why Snejana doesn't get the campaigns and editorials and covers.
