I am a big fan of the SO-EN award. This stuff is not only inspirational, but the sheer amount of thought and special technique-and material innovation- always astounds me. True, they tend to pick those with the same aesthetic every year, but the pieces are really something. I will always remember the entry (winner?) a few years back with the pink strips made to look like perforated paper.

I really wanted to go to the show this year but couldn`t make it... would like to see these up close...
