Someone Makes A Comment On Your Heels, Response?

if it was something i totally splurged on and spent a high dollar on, i say it was gift.

Funnily enough, I'm male too :P

But its interesting to see such things from a different perspective. Many thanks to all who responded ;)

If I got the item for super cheap (usually the case) I'm usually like "Thanks, got it for ten bucks!" Otherwise it's just thanks unless they ask more...

unfortunately, this has happened maybe like 5 times in my life... damn Hamiltonians
Hamilton?

What do you get? "Yeah! Nice Ti-Cats Jacket, man!"?

edit:

I like to give any unsuspecting victim a full history of the item in question.

I do what seems to be the general thing, thanks and answering any questions if they come along.

I am always asking people about their shoes if I like them...though one girl was really nasty about it :(

hahaha its soooo true

VERY few people here have any style :)

are you from ontario?

I always tell people where I bought something if they like it. Half the time I think they are just making conversation/looking to compliment you on something. I don't think they're always seriously going to go out and buy the exact same thing as you and if they do, so what? :flower:

Well, fashion trends have to start somehow B)

I have to admit I've never really had the courage to say "those shoes look great" or anoything, especially at work. I'm always assuming that the other person who I'm pointing my comments at will react badly to it

The only thing I worry about when I'm thinking about complimenting someone is that they will think I'm trying to suck up to them!

i always thank them and tell them i like theirs as well. then i say when i bought them.

Whenever I see somebody with a great outfit on, I will say something like "Cute jacket" or "great outfit!" or something similar. I love when people make nice commentary about something I am wearing, so I like to spread the joy.

I always notice when soemeone is wearing cool shoes or boots or an interesting handbag or hat or has a great total look, and I am not shy about telling someone if I think she's got a cool piece or look.

I've never, ever had anyone be offended by one of my compliments, or seem creeped out.

As I said, I love it when other women make a comment about my outfit (a positive comment I should say. I get pretty stroppy when someone says something catty about my looks!) I mean, when I go out, I do contrive to have a look pulled together, and getting a little feedback is nice--I feel like I did get an interesting or fun outfit together. I've got some cool stuff, and I guess I like the attention and showing off a little! :)

I'm not so cool with guys hooting and hollering, but that is something altogether different. If a guy does say something like he likes my outfit, I will say thanks, but if he makes some crack about "great legs" or the like, I will mutter thanks, but I will cut on out of there so fast you about get a cartoon cloud of dust, like the Roadrunner. I hate being hit on. Ye gods, how I hate it!!!

I think it depends on how a guy hits on me. If it's in a non-creepy way then it's flattering.

I say thanks and answer any quesitons they have.

If they're obviously expensive though I say they were for a special occasion and I'm just breaking them in though...

I always give compliments when someone is wearing something that I like! Even strangers :ninja: . I figure it's a nice way to make people feel good about themselves. I love to get compliments, so I figure I may as well spread the love. I've never had anyone act weirded-out by my comments, even random people I don't know--just flattered.

People make comments on my heels all the time.

The one I here most often from women is

"How can you walk inn those things?"

My answer is "Quite well, Thank you."

As far as telling people where I get my heels, I am always happy to do that.

Something like that happened to me to, someone asked me how i could walk in some heels (which werent even that high!)

I say thank you, and if asked where I got them I would gladly say where.

I act all surprised and say " This piece of sh*t??, Thank you anyway" and start laughing, even though I know I look great.. ... Im so dumb

I would say THANK YOU :) and depending on who asks I would tell them where I got it from or say U THINK? I got it for 50 bucks at such and such store... usually ppl dont ask where u got them from....but if they did I would tell them ..high school days are over when u would worry about someone "copying" you even though the company produces ######### of similar shoes/products lol
