Yikes-- I'd forgotten Sonia's given up her place to her daughter. I don't know whether it's Nathalie has motives to take the brand in another direction, or she's simply lacking any distinction. I suspect the latter, as this is neither distinctive, or anything remotely fresh. The very classic lighthearted Parisian-vibe that I've always liked about Sonia Rykiel is gone without a trace here. I think the black dress with the pleated skirt, as well the transparent versions are nice enough-- but they could just be a staple from any other designer...
Paris so far has really been lackluster, with Rykiel leading the pack.
