Starbucks coffee??

I dont get whats the big deal with Starbucks, I mean just because a celebrity carries around a silly cup from Starbucks..all the fans will be like, "oh my God! She drinks from Starbucks too!" :woot:

Starbucks is just plain good coffee to me....
I find Starbucks more of a necessity nowadays, than an accessory...

I do wish that there was a Starbucks more within walking distance from my house, though.

sometimes you can't help but buy coffee from Starbucks...why? Because they're in every freakin block! (at least in NYC) ... the only area you rarely see a starbucks is in the West Village.

What's a Coffe Bean & Tea Leaf?

HAHA Justkidding. I know of it but have never had it since I'm from the East coast. I guess I'll just have to settle for Starbucks.:(

tang--you're soooo cool with an ILLY cup...........my cup of choice is BODUM ;) (and I have to have a cup to get OUT of the house, followed by a cup when I get to work)

haha yes... it is a status symbol; a small luxury within everyone's reach. I love it.... iced naturally.

Since my high school is voting for prom king and queen soon, I have been seeing posters of candidtates everywhere. My point is that one girl was similing while pointing to the Starbucks cappuccino she's holding.:rolleyes:

Living in New York City you really can not avoid starbucks, it is literally on every corner. Yes, it can be annoying seeing 12 year olds lined up for it, and yes the prices are a bit high. But... my boyfriend works there and gets a massive discount or gets our drinks for free so I'm fine with drinking my coffe ala Starbucks.

When I'm going to school I go to the local deli and get that bitter 1 dollar coffee. When I'm out and about shopping or with friends, I get starbucks. To me I like starbucks if I'm relaxing because I feel like it is a "treat" even if it is just foam on coffee :).

Live and let live, if someone wants to pay too much for their coffee so be it.

This is too hilarious.

I agree that there are now a lot of Olsen-wannabees who have adopted a Starbucks cup as an accessory. But this is perhaps putting the cart before the horse, as there were a lot of people walking around with Starbucks cups before the Olsens entered high school.

For that matter, there is a Coffee Underground ;) that has been walking around carrying cups of hot coffee (without spilling it, usually) for many years before Starbucks existed. Some of us even skateboarded to our college classes carrying our coffee (usually without spilling.)

Uphill in both directions. In the snow.

;)

I longboard with my Starbucks cup (refillable, dumb to kill trees just because I love my soy chai lattes) on my university campus. Sometimes theres snow :)

Maybe, the purse, but starbucks coffee i do no think so. I mean any poor person can buy a coffee without thinking twice.

just so you know...
When you spend $3.60 for a latte or cappuccino at your favorite cafe do you realize that less than one cent of that goes to the coffee farmer?

I have mixed feelings about that Tazo Tea, I find it too tangy for me, It bothers the top of my mouth lol. But I do like their Iced Lemonade Passion Tea.

I like MapQuest!
That's a good one, too.
Google maps is the best!
True, dat! Double true!

I was so surprised at the amount of hostility in some of the posts. I mean, it's just coffee!

I very rarley drink coffeee and when I do it's usually one of those sweet whipped cream things, but I can understand why everyone drinks it. Stackbucks is just easy becuase it's everywhere. Theres one so close to both mine and my frends house that it's faster to walk then drive. It's also the closest coffee shop to our school so thats why everyone always walks around with starbucks cups. I can think of 3 starbucks within a mile or two of my house, but the nearest other coffee shop is 15 minutes away. I know this is bad but I know I'd be too lazy to make my own coffee/tea unless I'm staying home, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

haha, i noticed that too. i never realized how much coffee meant to some people...

Heh, Starbucks isn't the evil empire here in Seattle; it's the local coffee shop! You can visit the very first Starbucks ever, which is near the Pike place market.

I like Starbucks fine, but prefer Tully's (another Seattle coffee enterprise).

Starbucks is just  I consider people walking around with their starbucks as having no taste... It's just bland fast-food coffee, give me a real italian espresso or ristretto anytime

Their Iced Lemonade Passion Tea is more expensive and i'm a cheepo and prefer my $1.90 drink. But I have to agree about the tangy taste. But thats the reason why i love it.

Especially the little tennie girls who on a warm day hold the cup in a cuddle to project they are cold, like for God sakes shove the drink down your throat this isn't some movie production you are in.

This is just pathetic. It's like the people on American Idol auditions who cup their ear as if they have a mike feed coming in--because they saw somebody friggin' do it on TV.
To carry a crappy chain coffee as an accessory because a famous twin does it.....I don't even have words.:ninja:
