I really like this one, too. It reminds me of an old Robert Altman film made in the 70's ... "McCabe & Mrs. Miller" starring Warren Beaty, Julie Christie and Rene Auberjonois.

I wonder if that was the inspriation? it has the same darkness about it, the same sort of color pallette, and the same feeling of the Old West and they are both sort of foreboding and sad.
