Did Steven take well to being told to re-shoot?
No, it takes quite a lot of convincing, but he understand, you know. That's why we have a good relationship. Because I respect his work and he respects my magazine.

Did you know when you first know him this was going to develop into such a long-lasting and defining relationship?
Actually the reason I started working with Steven was probably because I've never seen a man so beautiful in my life. I do think he's the most beautiful man. I remember when I met him in the Eighties... Steven come to my hotel to collect the clothes [for a shoot] himself. And when he walked in the room, even my husband then - who's completely for women - looked at me and said, 'I've never seen a man so beautiful'. It was beyond. And he is very shy, super shy,. But very nice. Such a very nice person. It's a fantastic collaboration.
