Stockholm shopping

I find it quite strange how Le Shop has been left out the loop here...

Diana Orving for womens is a must, Licentious by Michael Ellis for mens is just too good for words...Awesome owners, really know their stuff, by far the best boutique in Stockholm!

I love weekday, but if you visit stockholm, you should go there really early, or on a weekday :smile:lol:smile:, not in the weekend, as it's really crowded and impossible to try something on.

Ditch NK, unless you want basics. They do have an Hermes-store though, which is pretty good.

Natalie Schuterman is great too. The same is the Acne store, which is rather close to NK.

Just a question, when are the sales at NK usually?

I don't know when they have their own sales but in Sweden there are big sales everywhere just after big holidays, after midsummer, new years etc

The NK sale last year was on from late June until late July.. Their initial sale is always quite bad though, from my experience, maximum 30% off.

It hasn't been mentioned yet, ABCD carry some high-end brands, like Ann Demeulemeester, Dior Homme, John Galliano, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana etc. Dior Homme can also be found at Natalie Schuterman now a days. And like StellaMare said, the NK sale is really poor, especially if you don't get invited to the pre-sale.

the pre-sale still sucks though. they only have 30% off and it's crazy with all the people!

The pre-sale is not even worth going to, the pre-pre-sale :smile:huh:smile: is ok though, not as many people who has the black card.

so when is the sale when they have 50% off?
lemme know
wann go to Stockholm in few months but need to figure it out when it is the best time!

Most stores start their 50-70% sale a few weeks after new year, so say ~10th of January. There are few sales worth going to though, except ABCD and Nathalie Schuterman (who starts the sale with a 50% off everything :woot: (I think so, since I've never seen anything on 30% there) then 70% a month later or so. ALOT of people visit that store during the sales though, but sitll worth visiting ). Mulberry's sale is ok, since there hardly is anyone there, so you can get bags pretty cheap (leather messengers going for 3k SEK instead of 8k ($450/€320 instead of $1200/€850), and there are lots and lots left at 70%. The Gucci and Versace sales are usually poor and crowded, and has on top of that really poor staff. NK's sale is as stated before not worth visiting, especially not if you can't go to the pre-pre-sale (who you are invited to if you buy for $5k+ a year). Nitty Grittys is ok though, a concept store carrying alot of brands not available anywhere else in Stockholm, like Junya Watanbe, Miu Miu, Martin Margiela, Dries Van Noten etc. H&M start their 50% sale when everyone else does, same with Zara. So, got in the middle of January.

Takker megalomania
thanx loads!!! i like dries/miumiu martin very much but i prefer to fly to antwerpen to get their stuffs. but some other things i need to try out in Stockholm like JLineberg, ACNE ect

btw im interested in kostaboda stuffs like that(home decoration) so i mite give them a call to ask when they have the 70% sale.. i know some good stuffs are gone but there are enuf that needs to be bought:-P

Btw, there is an amazing jlindeberg outlet near stockholm

Kosta Boda/Orrefors has a huge store in Stockholm if you're into home decorating. Acne Jeans have a couple of stores and retailers in Stockholm, same with swedish brands such as Filippa K, J Lindeberg, Whyred and Tiger of Sweden. Acne doesn't have their sales in the concept stores, they have a special gallery just used for the sales at Brunnsgatan (I think), if you subscribe to their newletter you'll get the adress. Hope you'll enjoy your stay. :flower:

I'm going to Stockholm in 10 days and although I will be there only for a weekend I would like to try some shopping. Ì'd love to know where are the best areas to go shopping, but any advice is welcomed :flower:

(and I suppose that it will be extremely cold, won't it?)

^^ It's not extremely cold. It just started snowing this week. But be sure to bring gloves and warm shoes!

There's lots of shopping advice in this thread, read it through if you haven't!

Hi StellaMare, I 'll be in Stockholm on the 5th of Dec. - wednesday and will have the afternoon free. What is the best lady shopping - only one address -let's say Birger Jarlsgatan 5 - would that be good? I saw they have many designers.
I'll be staying at Grand Hotel Stockholm S. Blasieholmshamnen No. 8
is the shop far away? what shops are near by?
Will it be very cold? Is it snowing?
Thank you so much in advance.

sorry I had in mind the shop "Natalie Schuterman" at Birger Jarlsgaton

"Natalie Schuterman" at Birger Jarlsgaton
Very nice shop, with very sweet and helpful SAs. They soon will open an on-line boutique.
The selection of CL was better than in Paris CL boutique. They gave me 20 % off!!!!
Great!
