Stockholm shopping

I thought someone here might be able to tell me where I can find a good, but not insanely expensive seamstress/tailor in Stockholm?
I have a blazer that needs to be made about two sizes smaller (stupid ebay...). :(

Does anyone have any experience from Ateljé Stass on Döbelnsgatan 71?

:flower:

there is a tailor on either mäster samuelsgatan or jakobsbergsgatan (it's located at the opposite side of the street of the alternate entrance of urban outfitters) that's pretty good (abcd is using him as a tailor), although i've only had tapering of jeans there (which i paid 230 SEK for, so it's not that expensive), so i can't say if he's good at altering sizes, sorry.

Thanks. The lady on döbelnsgatan said that making the jacket smaller would cost 500-600 - and she said it would be "a lot of work", so her price point seems to be lower. I guess I'll just go and check it out..

just a small update regarding nk, because it's for once worth a visit if you're a guy. paul&friends at nk has expanded and now carries rick owens (main line and drkshdw) and kris van assche. nk herrtrend is also restocked with new brands which was far more intresting than it was before. now they carry brands such as jil sander, rykiel homme, raf by raf simons, raf simons, helmut lang and neil barrett. thumbs up. the womens floor also got some new stuff, including nk international designers, with brands like vivienne westwood

I apologize in advance for being off-topic, but I have been trying to look everywhere to find this out. Can someone, please, tell me how one would trael from Stockholm to Oland??

Öland is connected to Kalmar on the mainland by bridge. So you can fly to Kalmar and take a buss, rent a car and drive all the way, take a buss all the way etc, etc.

doesn't ferrys depart from stockholm aswell? or is it just to tallinn and helsingfors?

I think this thread needs a revival..
The variety of stores here seems to be growing, in a good direction, and Stockholm fashion in general is enjoying good times right now..

Where are your favorite places to shop in the city? :flower:
I want to know because I'm terribly bored of shopping here, I pretty much only do it online and abroad.. I need to find some new store to excite me! ^_^

please skip HM when u're here ... there's a lot more fun places to go to that HM.
Stockholm oh stockholm, love my city =)

Some good second-hand shops:

-Judits on Hornsgatan (there's also Herr Judit, for men, which is good too)
-Beyond Retro on Åsögatan
-Lisa Larsson on Bondegatan
-Little Shop of Fashion on St. Eriksgatan
-Epok on Odengatan
-Old Touch on Upplandsgatan

Great, thanks! Now, if I could just get a decent price on airfare......

if you're into high-fashion then nathalie schuterman and abcd is the way to go. i try to do most of my shopping while i'm out of the country, like in tokyo or paris, since stockholm shopping isn't that good imho  getting better though
